Hi there

Does anybody rent out their property on a long-term basis?  I'm talking about months rather than weeks.  if so, please PM me with prices etc.

Also, even if you don't have anywhere to rent, perhaps you can answer this question: is there a regular bus service to the development, and what facilities are nearby?  We don't drive, so need to have a bus route within reasonable walking distance.  We are both fit and enjoy walking, but would be looking at a mile maximum to catch a bus and/or get to the shops.

Hi Sue - my villa is available from now to April - when I am moving out for good!!!!!  If you are interested in that period then send me a PM and I'll give you prices etc.

As for facilities - the development is on a hill above the main "strip" which has supermarkets, bars, restaurants etc.  The beach is just a bit beyond the strip.  I'm not much of a walker and always rent a car, but I would think its about a mile or so - perhaps someone else on the forum can be more exact.  I don't know of any buses but again someone else may be able to help here.

However, on the development itself there are lots of restaurants and a few others within easy walking distance.  There are also a couple of bars and a deli as well as a supermarket and a bank and a few other shops.  The development also has a number of pools and a children's playground.

Thank you for your helpful reply.  It's a long story  but we are buying at Santa Ana Del Monte near Jumilla, and our house should have been ready by January 2008, however the latest completion date given to us by San Jose is December 2008!  We really don't want to wait that long before moving to Spain, so are planning to retire in April and move over to Spain as soon as we can after then.  Lucky you, moving over to your villa in April!
