We're Jardines 7 (which I now am informed is Jardines  8) but joined nothing and have used this forum for all up dates and photo's and that has been really good. We're going over in a couple of weeks and will post any photo's we take. We plan to visit IKEA and view furniture and look at some prices- we expect to fit our own aircon, light fittings, white goods and shower screen. When we go over we will ask about the kitchen worktops and plumbing for washing machine and tumble dryer- and the water cooler!

I have been using this forum for updates on building work, photos etc and found it really useful,  we haven't joined any members club.

If you find any information on the air units I would be interested to know, I expect Ikea to be the same as home but I should think there will be a few more furniture shops opening in the area by the time we are ready to complete.

I haven't heard anything about jardines 7 now being 8, anyone know the reason why the change??

We'll probably ask about the Jardines  numbers just out of curiosity. I have read that the sports boulevard is now using number 6 so every Jardines beyond has gone up a number. I'm going to IKEA mainly because one of our agents suggested it apparently she's wanted to go for ages but her partner wont go with her! I also think they may do furniture packs so we want to clarify that and also see if you can make your own selection or is it fixed packs. I know you can order as you want anyway but packs are generally delivered together on the same day (I am told) whereas individual purchases may not be-we shall see.

Hi all

anybody going over soon for more photos? it's getting very exciting now....i'm in Jardin 4 and was wondering if my jardin looks similiar to Jardin 12 where the show houses are, in otherwords almost finished!!!

Generally how long does the process of closing the deal take? if, for example, we are contacted in May when will Polaris want us over there most likely as we will have flights to book & accomodation to sort out? On the snagging front can the 1st snagging be done from home (i.e say Ireland or the U.K) easily enough or would people advise a number of trips over to Murcia?   It'd be great to hear from anyone who has been through the process with Polaris before. I'm a 1st timer!!!

it'd be great to get some photos/concrete information of how the golf course and the facilities are progressing.

Thanks

I've been told by my agent that when Polaris contact you they will give you about 6 weeks notice. You will then snag your property & complete, this process can be done by your solicitor or agent as long as you arrange power of attorney for them. I think this is the case, please anyone correct me if i am wrong.

Hi Mike that information seems to match with what we have been told, provided you trust the agent  to do the job as well as yourself- and its probably  what we will do. There are also Snagging Companies and it does save a dash over there trying to fit everything in.
