Hi everyone,

Wev'e purchased a 3 bed apartment in jardin 12. When we purchased the property we also joined the Parador properties owners club.

We have recently received a quote for for the supply and fitting of  4 air conditioning units ( 3 bedrooms + lounge).The price seems a little on the high side, when i researched the price of exactly the same units from a spanish company the price came out at 2ooo euros cheaper.Surely the instalation can't cost that much as pre instalation is part of the build. Parador owners club who charge 700 euros to join did say you would recoupe the joining fee by letting them help you with buying furnitue, air con etc, etc.....I JUST DON'T SEE IT! Has anyone else had any similar quotes or dealings with Parador? What is pre instalation of aircon?

I believe pre-installation means that only the actual plumbing, etc is put in. This has caused many people to get concerned as they were assuming, like myself, that we would have it already put in as a complete installation. Some members were saying that they were going to take PW to task as the initial Jardines said pre-intallation but Los Naranjos say pre-installed..wonder if the differance in wording means they have to install it. i would welcome general feedback on this matter.

Anyway, regarding the cost, I would personally wait as there will be plenty of companies competing for the work as there will suddenly be hundreds of properties requiring this work carried out so my view is that prices will be competetive. I have already kept a note of a company that has carried out work for someone on another complex so I'll just ask them along with a few others to supply the best deal based on recommendations. Pretty much the same process as back in the UK I guess.

We have also purchased on Jardin 12 with Parador and received the same quotes.

I am beginning to wonder what benefits we get from the owners club too. My dad has purchased an apartment through them but from another developer and he has access to the owner's club website which gives him updates and photos of construction - when tried registering for access I got an email back saying Parador don't have access to Polaris sites so cannot currently do this - funny how they didn't mention this when they were trying to get the 700 euros out of us!!! Also funny how owners have managed to get pretty good photos without access but Parador can't!

Hopefully see you in Jardin 12 in about a year!!!

We bought in Jardin 7 through parador properties last October and although thought they were helpful when we were out there not impressed so far with Owners Club - cannot access website and have had nothing from them since last year.  Only benefit I can see is if you buy furniture pack through their recommended agent you get €1000.00 discount - the furniture is really good and they do all the work to get the aprartment set up - they seemed knowledgable as well as to what you need if you want to rent out your apartment through PW - special bedding etc.  Cant seem to see any other benefit though.
