We complete tomorrow (via our Spanish solicitor) 2 years and 1 month after paying our initial deposit. Actually the time has seemed to have flown by. We go out on 8th July for our first 2 weeks in our own property. Will take lots of photos and post on this site on our return. Not long now for everbody. Good to hear there is green around our pool.

Hi Noreen,

Ours is the duplex next to the paddle tennis court looking inwards. We were hoping to have our summer hols there this year but as we were tied to dates in early August we decided to rent a place because after the inspection visit we honestly didn't think it would be ready in time. So we have rented a villa at Desert Springs Golf Club. Now things seem to be moving on very quickly so I suppose it might be ready in time after all. Never mind - we are now hoping that we can time the completion for while we are there on holiday although I am not sure if lawyers work during August in Spain.

We only heard yesterday that we could sign the deeds on 23rd July.

Originally, we were due to have our 2 weeks holiday starting the 21st July but we changed them to 17th August in the hope that we could save ourselves some money & not have to rent somewhere. It looks like the plan may have worked.

All we need now is for the various parties to get their act together & hopefully everything will fall into place. We have been told that the Lawyers close down for the month of August so at least we have about a weeks leeway if they do.

We only put our deposit down at Easter & when we went back at the end of May, we were quite impressed with how much it had all changed.

We have been invited to carry out our courtesy visit between the 9th & 13 of July in Block 30 (phase II), this would put the completion date in to August, as Spain is closed in August, I guess it will be September!!

We have our inspection arranged for next week , 11 July.  We are in Block 9, Phase 1. We understand that even though the prospective completion will be in August, and Spain is closed, they will still take place. If you look at the proposed scedule put together by Keymare, there are no holiday shut down dates for August. We can but hope.

We completed in Hills this time last year, and know exactly how excited you all must be.  Please make sure that you have snagged your property well - our estate agent (Carl at Ultravillas) did a great job for us, but we now have some friends who live on Hills who are experienced at snagging, cleaning, getting KeyMare into line and a dozen other things!  Please pm us for their details. 

Finally, if you need short-term accommodation for your snagging or handover visit, please pm us as we have some vacant dates in mid-July and September (sadly not August)
