We were the ones who had been trying to install a sky dish a few weeks ago but were stopped.  At the time we informed by the Administrator of the community,  that there is to be a meeting on the 15th September and TV installtion would be one of the issues rasied at that time .  This was only by telephone and no further confirmnation has been received.  The adminstrator´s name is Luis Marquez and his telephone number is 950 472 559.

Perhaps we all need to exchange issues that we would like to have discussed at this meeting? We understand that everything will be decided by a majority vote. So it is important that we are prepared.

Any comments?

Christine.

ps we are still here until 9th August if there is anything else anyone needs to know

I don't know if this is a community matter or not, but I would like to know if the outdoor pools will be kept open until the end of October. School half term is towards the end of October and many of us owners with kids will probably be over that week so it would be nice if the pools were still open then.

I have never known outside pools to close at all in an all year round climate like almerias. who has said they will close? How can they stop you swimming in them anyway!

Stuart.

I don't know whether the outdoor pool closes or not but I would assume that the easiest way that they could stop you swimming in it would be to drain it!!

There's a sign up next to the pool saying that it's open from May until September (mad!)

I'm sure that everyone will want it to open for longer though.

Have never seen a pool with no water in it on a holiday complex, and surely it would be a health & Safety issue with children running and playing near it.

I think it will be open all of the year.(or should be)

Stuart.

Hello,

copied this (badly !) from elsewhere - found this on Al Andulus forum - guess most are the same ??

(Would like to have the option of the outdoor pool in October half term when visiting)

On Residential, can't say whether it is the same each year, but last year the outdoor pool opened around the end of May and closed at the end of September, although they never empty the outdoor pool so Iguess you can go in whenever you like if you're daft enough. The indoor pool overlaps these times to give people an option, as we don't all have the same freezing point.
cheers Gray.j

Phil, I was out there last Easter and the outdoor pool was being used then.

I was also out at Easter, as I said the pool is never emptied, but it is officially closed, I don't know what the community rules state, but I was informed that although people were using the pool and the surrounding grass area for sunbathing, we were breaking the rules, the area was closed, the weather last Easter wasn't that great anyhow, and my big toe test told me the pool was bloody freezin' cheers Gray.j

Maybe it's to do with the fact the lifeguard is on duty May to September and therefore outside of those months you swim at your own risk?

You're probably right Suzy; the lifeguard isn't on duty all day (he goes for a siesta!) and we were told that you swim at your own risk when he's not there.

As long as the pump is on and the chemistry is looked after, you shouldbe able to swim when you want.

Cheers

This is a matter for us all to agree - when do we want the pool to be open and closed. I think that many people will want to use it outside the hours currently stipulated, we need to establish what the majority would like before the meeting.

Other matters that have been flagged up are as follows-

Other swimming pool rules

The for sale and for rent signs which are appearing on balconies

Towels over the railings

The fact that the most recenttly finisged properties are freshly painted outside whereas the buildings that have been finished´are looking shabby because of all the building dust etc. The general feeling seems to be that this is a KEYMARE final snagging issue

KEYMARE advertising their own company name on what will be owners/community property  ie buildings etc

hours of employment for lifeguard, security staff (day and night) etc

Provision of  British Television channels. It appears that the general view is that there should be opposition to everybody putting up separate aeriels dishes. However in the absence of one central parabolic dish - other developments have opted for one dish per block in the most unobtrusive position.  This can serve several properties in that block.

Should we nominate someone to collate this information. Hterag may be the best person?

Christine

As this is my first post on this site, I would like to say I have found it very informative.

As the meeting is going to be held on the 15th September, not everybody will be able to make it, and a lot will need to be sorted out, I thought ithat it might be a good idea to have a meeting in the UK, that way eaverybody will have the oppurtunity to meet there UK based neighbours and have some input into the meeting.

I would suggest somewhere in central UK, middle of August, to hopefully make it easier for everyone, if enough are interested, I would be happy to arrange a venue, a contribution to the cost would be much appreciated.

If this appeals to you them send me a pm.

Steve

Hi all,

I'm happy to collate information although I won't be at the meeting if it's the 15th September so would need to delegate to someone else who's going to be.

Unless anyone else wants to do this, send me a pm with additional thoughts to those that Christine has listed.

Regards,

Gareth

I just want to reiterate that we have not had a definite confirmation that the meeting is definitely scheduled for the 15th September that is why I gave the Administrator´s details earlier.

It probably would be a good idea to meet and we would be happy to attend late august. We are from the Preston area so central say, Birmingham would be fine for us.

Hi all

The idea of a meeting in the UK seems to be generating a bit of interest, I will try to get a room at a hotel in the Birmingham area, this seems to be the best place for those that have replied.

If anyone has some insider info on hotels in the area, it would be easier, if not I will pound the web and see what I can find.

Hi,

I guess 8th September may be the best date to go with, as people may still be away during August!..............We are definately interested!
