Health Insurance

Good evening I have my flat rented via Alexander and as predicted they have not yet paid me. The flat has been rented since March and they told me that I should get paid in July...Despite calling them on a daily basis they dont know when it will happen..strange?? I know that ric25 has got it rented via them...anyone else? If yes ....Did you get your money eventually? if yes, how long after ? and how did you do it? I dont live far from them in teh UK but I dont think its a good idea to go and confront them as I might not behave myself :-) Thanks

Ok just to update on people who are viewing this thread...Alexander homes has decided to pay me in my spanish account, instead of the UK Account..Now I will have to pay 25 % tax Thanks Alexander home!!!!!

Alexander Homes will always be synomonous with very bad service. I have currently been paid my rental money up to the end of March. However, despite phone calls to their office as recently as Wed past, I have still NOT received our rent for the period April to June, which was due at beginning of July. Furthermore I have not been paid one penny/cent of the utility bills since our apt was initially rented last Summer. The total we have expended so far on utilities USED BY OUR TENANT(S) is now approaching 800 euros. Again we are getting absolutely no satisfaction about these either. I know one thing for sure - If I lived anywhere near Bedford (which unfortunately I don't)  I would definitely pay them a personal visit and lay it on the line. Good luck.

Hi Ric I have spoken to Alexander home this week and I went absolutely balistic at them...I have called them 15 times in the past 2 weeks and each time the answer was.." i will speak to our Account department and they will ring you back" they failed to call me back everysingle time. So I called Lucian who works for alexander home in Spain and hopefully he will pay my rent and my bills that the tenant owes me in my spanish bank account ( well I will beleive it when I see th etransfer going through). Ric..I am going to visit them next week . I will let you know the outcome of it. Ric, how long have you got before you rental agreement finishes ? Surely there is much better agency in Spain who can help us renting our flats?

Ophil.  My agreement with them runs until end of September. ANY other Agent is bound to be better than this lot to be frank. I just don't know how they are still doing business out there. I have ben e-mailing 2 agents DANESP in Oropesa dvalls@danesp.com  and FINCAS AZAHAR in Castellon  info@fincasazahar.com .  FINCAS AZAHAR are not at all optimistic about prices picking up in Marina D'Or in the near future. I think they are only buying/selling Agents, but Danesp are going to do Holiday Lets at MD from next year and SEEM to offer good rental prices. I have got the same old rubbish myself about their Accounts Dept. NO-ONE EVER returns my calls. They are a total disaster. I have been trying Lucian for the last10 days, but  his phone is not being answered.

I have just read these threads and seem to be having the same problems. They rented my apartment on a 6 month long term at 400 euros a month without even asking me. When I signed originally they said they would get at least 4000 for July and August. I have spoken to Shaun in the bedford office who fobbed me off with the account department number wich nobody answers. I have tried about 15 times over the last 3 week and nothing. They also owe me for utlities bills by my tennat which they said they would collect and pay in to my spanish bank account. I am at the point now where I need the rental income soon. They owe me for April to end of June and said it would be paid earlu July, but nothing. I am going to try one more time and then will drive down there and camp out in their office. I am also considering seeking legal advice as they appear to have broken the terms of their contract several times. Is there any sense in us joining together to approach a solicitors for advice??

Well I was supposed to get my money last month last week and tis week and nothing nada.. So I called the Spanish office who told me tomorrow ( 01/09/07) I will get paid. I then spoke to Pasquale th e owener of Alexander home who confirmed that I will get paid tomorrow . for some odd reason I dont trust them so if tomorrow they have not paid me I will seek legal advice . From another forum one user had to use a debt recovery company to get their money from AH.

I was planning to go,as I only leave 20 miles from there, but i have been in Europe for the past few weeks.The only  day I could have gone is Saturday where only employee are there, so not the best day.... The best time to go is during the week where teh mysterious accountant is here...well supposedly....

I will contact you directly and see if we can  meet up one day down in Bedford .

Thanks. I'am going to contact Lucian in the Spanish office and see if I can get any comittment out of them. This shouldn't be this difficult. Once my tennet leaves end of September I will be ditching them, they are appualing, renting shouldn't be this difficult.

 

Has anyone else had any experience of Danesp I had some communication with them and they promised to be much better but then they would say that I guess? Has anyone actually used them or knows of any of reputible agencies?

Morning..I tough I will give you an update....well after speaking to AH last week in Spain and in the UK..guess what I received my payment!!!!

Yes i know I could not believe it .well I see if i have to go through the same ordeal next month !!!!

Been a while since we spoke, I'm still chasing my rent its now been 6 months plus utilities. When I spoke to Lucian over a month ago he claimed he didn't know I wanted the money paying direct into my spanish account and so asked me to send bank details over. As yet still no sign of any money. Have just tried calling again but he's not there. Just wondered how you were getting on, are you still facing similar issues?

Alexander Homes are the worst company to deal with. My apartment is currently vacant and i hoping if anyone can guide me as to who i can trust to rent out my apartment.

Just to add to the many comments on the Message Board regarding ALEXANDER HOMES. They have changed their name to ALEXANDER ESTATES in Oropesa del Mar (Marina D'Or). Just want everyone to know that although the name may have been slightly changed, they are still the same useless excuse for a business that they have always been.

I have posted a message of my experience of renting with them on the Message Board under the heading "ALEXANDER ESTATES, OROPESA DEL MAR. (MARINA D'OR). It is essential reading for ANYONE with a property at Marina D'Or, who may wish to rent it out. The message is simple. Leave your property empty rather than use these people. You have been warned!!

Guess waht ..today I am still waiting for my payment..but now Alexander home in Bedford...have gota new way of dealing with upset customer ..they hang up on you !!
God I am sick of tired of fighting with them
 

I've now intsructed a debt collection agency to retrieve our money. We've served notice on the tenants and asked Jenny D'or to collect our keys and change the locks on our behalf. AH are a shower of sh*te! It doesn't surprise me that you are still expreiencing problems. I will keep you posted as to how we get on.

Hi,

I have now had my property repossessed  and  the Spanish bank will take legal proceedings against me if they don't get the money  they expect when they auction  my  apartment. I am very worried as we could  loose our home in England if I am forced to pay months of mortgage interest. I  had received 1200 euros in rent for August but nothing else after completing in October 2005.

If you or anyone else are having the same problems please contact me by sending a private message especially if  you were promised when signing that you would get rent or be able to sell  after a year.
