Hi

Anyone over at Terrazas at present who can give us a update on weather condtions as heavy rain was expected over the last few days for the Murcia region, and have read on murcia news schools will be closed on monday in the San javier and Torre Pacheco area due to flooding remember a couple of years ago some pretty bad flooding on the resort mainly the roads and a few stone perimiter walls collapsed over the far side .

Graham

It's not a Gota Fria type event so no flash floods but there has been persistant rain over the last 48 hours and over 60mm rain have fallen on Las Terrazas over the last couple of days. Close to half the annual average.

The internet and/or power died in my apartment this evening but prior to that, flooding on Las Terrazas only looked minor and localised.

You can see the discussion on the owner's forum with pictures

Internet is back up but the lighting in the gardens seems to be off.

Just seen video of Los alcazeres from fire truck the streets are about 2 foot deep in water or half way up the cars think it might be a bit more than localised flooding and there looked more then 60 mm of rain .

Yes, very severe flooding in Los Alcazares. Looks like a total disaster zone.

This was the view from my webcam just before the internet died. You can see some local flooding between Block 45 and the golf course

The rain increased in intensity on Sunday evening after the internet died. At Las Terrazas, we had 24.4mm of rain on Saturday, 91.7mm on Sunday and 10.9mm on Monday.

Water came over the top of the northern perimeter wall at Phase 1 but thankfully there doesn't seem to be any damage other than mud on the roads.

There are a few photos on the owner's forum and someone posted a video of the flood water coming over the wall on the Las Terrazas Owners Facebook page. There's also a few photos of our street on there, during and after.

This was the view this morning
