Summary.

Appointed Antonio, now Gunnercooke formally DWF in 2012 to recover deposit from Banco Pastor.

Court case in Almeria in 2014, won.

Deposit returned after much confusion and delay in June 2016.

Finally received legal costs Nov 2016.

Keep fighting.

Interest payment is apparently on its way, did not mention it before because i prefer to wait until it is in my bank then it is fact not fiction.

Does anyone know about Alonso and Haro Solicitiors, I received a letter from them today?

I receive similar contact from solicitors regularly, ask them what success they have had, any case they can refer to, what their credentials are etc etc.  

Then.   Compare it with Costa Luz who are tried and trusted on here and have had good success.

I also received a letter from Alonso Haro Solicitors   I notice from the letter that their fee is going to be all interest gained from your Court Case, to me this is a complete rip off and should be investigated by the Spanish Authorities.  Depending on when you put your deposit down this could cost you 40% of your total money if you put your deposoit down 2006.  If you want proper legal advice contact Antonio Guilen, Gunnercooke Solicitors, Manchester he works with a Spanish Barrister Emilio Lucas, Almeria.

The only positive thing to take from that is that they do expect interest to be paid, in which case your in a good position now

We won our case too, and received our deposit back into our bank account in April 2015, however, we're still waiting on out interest payment !!

We've been informed by our Spanish Lawyer that we have to await the appeals process through the Supreme Court, ( the banks have appealed against the decision obviously ), before we can get our interest payment ?

Is anyone else in the same position ?

Crikey   How long does an appeal take in this crazy system!!!!

We're in exactly the same situation as you Baz & Sue.  We were told just over a year ago that the case was appealed and that it would take up to 12 months for the judge to decide whether to accept the appeal or not.  Mailed our lovely solicitor a few weeks ago but they're ignoring our emails! Mind you, they also said they'd keep us regularly updated and we've had nothing from them since February :-(

Finally got confirmation from currency exchange my interest payment is in their account. Great Christmas present.

So that is legal costs and interest.

Me too.   He wasted a lot of time for a lot of people and gave very bad advice.  

I wonder if anyone sued him, perhaps they should do.  

I thought he was seriously out of order.

Regarding Tony Malpass I think he was a genuine  person but very, very naive and was taken in by Almundena who told him lies and us lies repeatedly if anyone should be sued it should be her and her cronies does anyone know if the Banks will go after her and try and get some of the money back from the asset stripping from HdT
