So we've just heard that our money was paid to the court in July (wich took 15 months from the ruling). Apparently it could now take another 4-6 months for the solicitor to recieve it; any idea why?  Solicitor said that "in their experience" the whole thing was going to take 6-12 months so not exactly hopeful of seeing it any time soon....

Hi

Does anyone happen to know if the banks are delaying interest payments until after Brexit? Court stuff was all done and dusted in April 2018 and still waiting for payment of my interest awarded.  Been told by solicitor that the payment would take 6-12 months, then 9-12 months. Just getting a tad nervous that for whatever reason that payment timescale might slip until after Brexit and then what?  Would it have any implications?

Thoughts welcome.

Hi

Just wondered if anyone had up to date timescales for payments of legal interest? I've been told it's 6-12 months but that's a bit vague.  Case was done and dusted in April 2018.

Thanks in advance.

I'd also like to know why it takes so long to get your interest when the Supreme Court has ruled in your favour. We've been told 6-12 months but I can't figure out why it would take so long; should be a month tops for someone to calculate the figure and make the payment.

We've also just heard that we've won our SC case but I'm not jumping around in excitement just yet because as usual there's a sting in the tail.

Having not heard anything from our solicitor for over 18 months we suddenly had an email about 6 weeks ago to say we had a case number (no idea what that meant other than having to fork out 200 euros for the procurator). Then got another mail last week to say we'd done, SGR had no further comeback and that costs had been imposed on them. However, as well as now having to wait 6-12 months for the interest (if anyone has a more accurate timescale I'd be welcome) the award of costs isn't what it seems. We're still going to be slapped with an invoice for around 7,500 euros from our solicitor and then they have to see what costs they actually manage to claw back so technically we're still paying after all (for the moment).  Is this usual?

There was a momentary celebration but it was extremely brief.....
