Furniture Package

hopefully somone can help us.

Has anyone bought a property through blue med/bank with furniture package included. can you tell m what was included so we know what we are getting. Also no boiler in apartment, is this standard! thought this would hve been already there.

Hi Sarah, I don't know what's in the package but you definitely should have a boiler in there, I'd ask the question to the sellers.    Chris

We brought a 3 bed last year through blu med, I think the furniture package depends on how the bank is feeling that day!!! We got all white goods beds in all rooms sofa dinning room table rugs surfboards bedside tables in fact we did ok but I have heard that some furniture packs were terrible so fingers crossed 

With regards to the boiler I am under the impression that the apartment is as old as seen, we know a couple who had no oven and had to buy one also there internal doors never closed so they had to buy new doors. Also my mate brought a pent house and he had no shutter on his balcony but they were all told by there agent sold as seen (none of theses were brought through blu med so have a word with Julio and he may be able to pull a few strings)

The furniture packs have less and less as the weeks  go by.  Currently you will get a beige sofa with white tv units, dining table and chairs, towel rails, no shower screen, curtain rails and white muslin curtains throughout, beds and bedside lockers,no drawers, some tacky light fittings (strange rattan things),  fridge freezer, washing machine, 2 towels, no bed linen, some cushions, bed throws and thats about it... Hope this helps...would say the current pack couldnt cost more than €1200...enjoy!,

I am having to laugh at your post as all your comments are right, l have alot less than what you have written but suppose lmshoud be greatful.  No bathroom stuff but will buy them.

Chic Sa, my friend got the furniture pack I mentioned just before Christmas, shows how fast they are changing!!

Unfirtunately, compared to what you used to get these packs have been DRAMATICALLY reduced and the quality reduced as well, cheap matarasses, metal bases, lower quality dining table,and TV unit,  no lamps and only one sofa  etc and there are people trying to now for thousands of Euro, which unformtunately they just are not now worth

For example the dining table & chairs we can buy locally for around €79, same sofa around €150, where they used to supply wooden chairs with faux seats, heavy bedside cabunets and 3 per built 5 drawer chest of drawers,good quality shower screens and they used to fit spot lights in all rooms and so,me nice headboards and mirriors

The other thing to watch is the warranty on the white goods as wthout a sales invoice it is difficult to get repairs if they go wrong

It is a pity that buyers didn't get the pack details in writing upfront what was included

managed to get photos to see what we got, got told nothing.  Also had no boiler so had to get a new one installed! Bit of a nightmare but all has worked out! Thank godness!
