Opppsssssss……..well posted ayo_82 – perfect timing.

iddydiddy – interestingly Condado started in a similar manner; first came a solo JCB accompanied by only 2 men (not even 3!!!!), then came a row of flags, and then…………………..”nothing”!!!!!!!!!!!

“Nothing” because the plans submitted were rejected; a female councillor insisted that an infrastructure to support up to 22,000 units was incorporated in the design (what a sensible lady). Mr “Polaris” threw his rattle out of his pram and said that he would not build in Murcia again………..; needless to say the female councillor disappeared, and, with modifications the plan was approved, but this all took 12 – 18 months, as I recall.

They then moved in a couple of extra diggers, a few cranes and never finished the job………………

Think I have seen how “major construction projects” work here….

I read in Murcia Today that Polaris World Resorts has sold off some of the Condado de Alahama land "designated for future building" to fruit producers . Is this the same land Paramount Resorts were after for the park ??.

also ..Went to the CDA town centre last week and have seen lots of changes from last year with more diners opening within the units...... looks like heading in the right direction.  are they all staying open in the winter ?

I believe the land is between La Isla and the main resort...if that helps...rumour has it that la cata is closing apart from british school holidays...it is really quiet but their contracts (allegedly) say they must open......out of school holidays there just arent enough visitors to stay open....maybe they could sort a rota to open at nights out of season?

Do you mean the land opposite blocks 10 and 11 or the opposite site over looking block 3 and 4?

The land Paramount was interested in purchasing was owned by the bank (as still is I think) - would have been very interesting to see your reactions if the theme park was "right on your doorstep" as it were!!!!!!!!!. The bank wanted far to much /m2

Usual VERY negative comment from "iddyddidy" - and I emphasise my point from 27 Sept @ 13.42............

For all the positive thinkers - "he who laughs last, laughs longest"...........

Redrose – good lateral thought; but even better would be if the site was developed along the lines of my comments on “Loud Music from the Clover”. It could become a place for people to visit for a good night out; attracting people from the surrounding area – restaurants would not need to close
