I already have internet in my apartment using the A2Z supplied and installed modem. I am considering making my internet wireless and bringing over a wireless cable router from the UK. The ones I have seen on PC Worlds website are described as 'for fibre optic broadband such as BT Infinity'. Will these routers work with the A2Z setup?

Thanks

Andrew

Connect it with an ethernet (RJ45) cable to your A2Z modem and you will be good to go!

I would recommend an Apple Airport Express, its very compact and never lets you down.

depending on the equipment you got from A2Z you might already have it without realising? In the service cupboard has the box got any aerial like devices on it already?

Thanks Darren, just the answer I was looking for! I've seen some routers from £17-25 which is in my budget, the Apples are a bit more than what I want to spend.

SD, only have the modem in the cupboard. We currently plug an ethernet cable into the phone socket in the lounge from a laptop. Going to plug the router into this socket which will link with the modem in the cupboard giving us wireless access for other devices i.e tablets.

Router now installed. I bought one from Currys for £20 (TP-Link TL-WR841N). You can attach 4 devices. Came with an install CD. Needed to set the Mac address to be a clone as an option and turn my laptop fire wall off during the installation.
