Is it just me? or does anyone else get irritated by some of the silly spelling mistakes that are made on this forum. I realize that there is no spell checker available on here, but some of the mistakes are so elementary one wonders at the age and educational standardsof the poster,

Can I suggest that before posting about other people's spelling that you go onto your own website and spell electrical correctly! What's the saying ..... People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!!!!
Also is it realize or realise - depends where you're from. Color or colour?
There are many different nationalities on this board and often English is not their first language. I hope your comments don't offend anyone and put them off posting on here for fear of the wrath of the spelling police! This message was last edited by clairehdp on 21/03/2013.

Thank you Claire for pointing out the glaring error on my web page, the free publicity alone of people rushing to see where this missing 'c' is situated makes your verbal 'lashing' almost worthwile, the clue to all this is the smiley at the conclusion of the original post!

I am guessing that this whole thread was only started to stir up some trouble, if you really get “irritated” by spelling mistakes, you must have very few other things to worry about!
Poor spellers (of which I am one) and people to who English is a second language should not be scared to post on here, due to the grammar police!
We are losing people from the forum fast enough, let’s not expedite the process MGK! Or there will only be me left, moaning away with nobody to listen!

Darren people are leaving or have left because of people with constant negative comments like you, you lost a few quid deal with it and move on you nause, funny was you first comment but your last hundred are a little tiresome , nothing new

Could it also be down to the fact that people seem to have busy lives now and speed type & perhaps do not check back through their typing/letters as I was always taught?
But yes some people have very minute lives to be worrying about multi-cultural/multi-national society/forums that contain a few spelins (deliberate  ) mistakes?

Did you watch this morning a few days ago?
Probably not.
It featured two very brave young girls, who at an early age were so badly burnt that they are still undergoing hospitalisation & may have to continually do so for many years.
They & many others like them were & still are bullied but they are now highlighting the hurt they felt & hope to help others suffering the way they did to come through it
They did not hide their scars on the TV and have chosen to do something positive
If you have nothing better to do than to find fault with people who cannot spell then you are a very sad person.
Get out of your chair, switch off your computer & do something positive with your life as they are doing

Darren got on my nerves initially , but got used to his humour now. At least we know his name and i do not think he does it to annoy. Letting off steam !! MGK does not mean anything negative just making an observation
Its the others who think we do not know who they are with strange names and get really nasty and issue threats we have to blame for EOS loosing out.

My spelling is probably wrong but there are a fair few people who are dyslexic and its a form of disablity so why are you picking on disabled people !!! Im dyslexic too
