Hello to everyone on this Finca Parc forum. Let me introduce myself. I live in Spain 6 months of the year and am now retired.

I also have watched this site with interest due to the fact that I looked at the site in Hellin nearly 3 years ago through an English agent. It seemed like heaven to see such a lovely area which could of been anywhere in the world.This I thought was going to be my retirement dream with walks, and views and clear air . Thinking this was just what the doctor ordered I gave my British agent the go ahead to reserve me a plot so that I could go back and choose the villa or finca of my dreams. This dream lasted for 48 hours. The agent phoned me to say he had bad news that the developer had given him 24 hours to pay my money or I would lose my plot. The reason we later found out was this company called Aramist  had reserved not only my plot but all of the site. This company I now believe has pulled the plug on Finca Parcs for whatever reason. My agent could never get to the bottom of what had happened but I now think he saved me a lot of money.But being the ever pessimist that I am I decided to check every stone just in case this dream could come back. I asked many questions about the developement the legalities the company who was going to be my developer and many more questions. Im afraid the rest is not good news. The developer Finca Parcs formally known under another name did not have a very good track record. Lots of broken promises lots of unhappy clients.We will put things right tomorrow but tomorrow never came. Apparently none of these clients could ever get to see the owner of the company,he was they all said never around. Does anyone from this forum know who the owner of this company is? It is said to have only a small amount of workers so surely someone must know who the boss is. I can tell you I tried to find out but could not get any answers from anyone. I even found there offices under a residential house in a place called Dolores and told he was in Columbia.( I believe they now have moved there offices to Murcia) So who is this man or women? Believe me I do not have any personal grievence with this company apart from they broke my nearly dreams.Reading your threads it looks like it will be another  tomorrow tomorrow. AGAIN I have no problems with this company  but am happy to not be involved with a purchase . I changed my ideal and now rent in Spain and enjoy my retirement. Good luck to you all Bert.

thanks for the info,i unfortunatly are one of those people who will be chasing the tommorrow dream,having reserved an phase 1 i have had no bank guarantee no corrospondance updating me of progress no nothing,only that when i ring they are good at fobbing me off,never the less i will persevere and let you know if i manage to find anything out

Hi Bert

just a quicky. I have received both my bank bond and a copy of the building licence, an I do not know what solicitor you were using to find out any relevant information , because my solicitor said he was very happy with the legal information that he has received to date. And as we all know nothing runs to date in Spain, so I feel comforted by the guidance of my solicitor.

It sounds to me like sour grapes from somebody who has never purchased a house in Spain. I feel it is very unfair of these people to make ungrounded comments to try and set the cat amognst the pigeons with people like myself who still are looking forward to spending there twylight years in the Spanish country side . I do hope that you will heed my advise ,and please do not take offence with my comments, but it is very counterproductive for non buyers , without any legal advice from a solicitor or any form of paperwork , to be involving themselves in this matter.

I would like to state a few things with regards to your last comments,this is the first house that i have purcheased abroad ,i also felt extremly assured knoewing that a bank guarantee was coming with the property,however after 8 months i still have no guarantee and no direct contact at cam bank which i have asked for repeatedly,i myself run my own buisness nad know somewhat the legalities of running an organisation,the key to which is good communication,at christmas i was told by a friend in murcia that building works had been suspended due to some civil action which was reported in the local press when i spoke with the spain select/finca parc team they knew nothing of this,these only help to add to the uneasiness i feel in purchasing a property,i would be gratefull if you could get in touch with me to e-mail a copy of the bank bond or better still post a copy on this web site as a sure reading all the other comments it will put a lot of peoples mind including myself at rest.

Your point below about communication is a good one and I certainly think it has been lacking on this development.

Some of the info I would like to know:

When will the first show house be built and how much confidence can we have in this date?

We were told prices on this development were likely to be confirmed as going up in January by approx. 5% (further to the new solar panel legal requirement). Why has there been such delay on this? Why were we told January when this has not been close to met? Who is re-estimating these figures? Can we speak to him/her/them?

Why has there been such delays with the bank guarantees? Who is dealing with this at Cam Bank? Can we speak to this person?

Why has there been such delays with the building work (and I think a more detailed answer should be given than referring to the solar panels)?

What if any legal/regulatory/local issues still need to be dealt with before it is as close to 100% guaranteed as possible that all this development will be built?

Can anyone please provide me with some info on the above?

We also have the building licence and bank bond for our property which in on the first phase,  according to my family who are currently on holiday in Spain there is a lot of work going on although when they made their visit it was raining and they were unable to take any good photo's. According to our solicitor everything is in order with the legalities of the site and also a prices increase has been announced from the 1st April which is good news for all of us that have already purchased.  By reading some of the postings on various threads for Finca Parcs I would say that some of you need to speak with your agents or lawyers a bit more often, I'm sure that we drive our agent mad but after all we are paying them to look after our interests, we have no complaints with the service that we have had even if sometimes the answers we have received have not been what we wanted to hear.

I to have been pestering my agent something rotten the thing that concerns me is they do not really have any answers and say they need to get more information from the developer because they are unaware of completion dates and exact dates for my outstanding Bank certificate.

I just want answers I noticed in a previous thread Lady Dallowa said she contacts the developers direct and they are more than happy to help so maybe that what’s we all need to do ask the questions get the answers and hopefully reassurance.
