My wife and I have just returned from Spain and were fortunate enough to visit Las Higuericas on a beautiful, sunny day.

We have been visiting the site for a couple of years now and have always found the location to be outstanding; I must admit, there have been times when we doubted that permission would ever be granted to build in such lovely place!

I have attached some photos: the first shows the development from a distance soon after leaving the motorway (look for a patch of lighter coloured soil) - Other photos include views, the river and for the engineering types amongst you, one of the substantial drains which will divert the storm water away from the mountain.

We visited the river while we were there and saw trout, catfish and large shoals of smaller fish;  at the other end of the lake we also saw an eagle and not far from there, we came across two mountain goats.

When was LH supposed to be finished and when is it now due to be completed?

Las Higuericas is due to be completed by the end of 2008 and yes, we're very happy with our investment, thanks.

My name is Ralph and my wife is Debbie.We have purchased an Esther in phase one.We have 2 children Jessica(15) and Oliver (13).We intend to use it as holiday and maybe rental initially.We are really excited and like most people unfortunately becoming more and more disillusioned with life in UK.

The funny thing is we did not intend to buy but could not resist.Got finance agreed after made downpayment.I.m sure on that day we just intended to do some shopping in town.- a villa definately was not on the agenda.Have been to site and were really impressed - at one with nature.
