lol Welsh Wizard, quite agree about that little Aladins cave however they missed one item - egg cups.

After a while of explaination I drew a picture of a hen, egg and cup with big arrow pointing to cup. Got taken away as quite enthusastically the woman thought she had figured out what i needed but bird seed wasn't it.

Well we did give them a laugh. We imported egg cups on a future trip.

I do agree that its a little silly to be arguing over something that will probably never happen, does makes me laugh though! If ever we get another bar people are saying there should not be a dress codes(Fair Enough, I would prefer one, but I am just a smart dresser). However if we ever get a club house there should be a dress code(Make up your mind)?

So people on this forum agree that all people are equal, weather they visit camposol, Condado, support football or dont! However when it comes to golfers they are above all? Hippocrits!!

I will be proudly wearing my "Half Empty Crew United" football shirt, George Michael Style "Budgie Smuggler" shorts and Tatty Flip Flops for the opening ceromeny of the golf Club house! Although I wont be able to stay long, bacause I am also attending the "Hell Freezing Over" party that same night!

Darren,

Instead of partying, I thought you may have been 'Drag Racing' on the redundant airstrip at Corvera airport that you thought would never be opened.

I havent got a crystall ball, but down the line When the airport is open, the clubhouse with its dress code is open, the units in Al Kazar are full and thriving and the Paramount Park is staging its opening ceremony, then I think you may have to come on here groveling with a big smile, admit you were wrong and walk round Condado in your budgie smugglers with a placard proclaiming 'TOSSER'

Cheers, Dakey

I think Darren is missing the obvious.

The golf course has a dress code unlike CdA in general.

So I think any normal person would expect that if there's a dress code to go and hit some balls on the practice fairways there would probably be one for the clubhouse.

Or maybe Darren would like one rule for the golfers while everyone else can wear what they want in the GOLF clubhouse...makes complete sense to me.

I am not missing the obvious, I know there is a golf course dress code, I read and contribute (or detract) from this forum.

My point is that most people on this thread dont appear to support the banning of horrid football shirts in the bar, but they are happy to ban them from the clubhouse/golfcourse

One rule for the golfers another rule for the rest?

So I have to take up Golf to be surrounded by "Smartly dressed" people. Even those silly diamond patterned Pringle Tank tops look smart compared to Football shirts.

Still fair enough, sports wear in the clover, smart in the clubhouse.... Shame its never coming.

Dakey - I do actually think Corvera will  open one day, but it wont operate at a profit in our lifetime, it will be, as the Sunday Express described it - "A White Elephant Airport"... However once the Al Katraz is thriving, Paramount is Open and the clubhouse is Open I would gladly parade around with the Placard claiming I am a "Tosser".

In the mean time thanks for the insult.

He could perhaps wear a double placard with tosser on the front and pringle on the back, just to satisfy dress code rules. ( by the way Darren, its not an insult, I am just having a bit of fun, mate)

I'm worried that after banning football shirts people will move to ban skimpy outfits.  And to date thats been the only redeeming feature of some of the bar staff.

I think the dress code, when the next bar opens, should be "all in one silver foil suits"! According to Si-fi movies thats what we all will be wearing in 100 years time.

I myself will cryogenically frozen, but hopefully my ancestors will defrost me so I can come back to Condado, play hologram golf, use a flying golf buggy, cruise around Al Katraz on a hover board and sell my apartment for what I paid.

Maybe the future for Condado isnt so grim afterall?

That'll be one very sweaty bar if everyone's in foil suits in the middle of summer.

I'll think I'll stick to the new "smart casual" football strip that they added just for going into bars with dress codes.  Not to be mistaken for the sleeveless "very casual" strip that I'll wear at the clover.

Good Evening All,

Personally I do not care if people want to wear football shirts if thats what they are comfortable wearing I would rather my kids see a football shirt than a T-Shirt with some Vulgar print/slogan on!!!

I think if/when the Al kasar gets going and they show football games in a bar what do you expect you  will then hopefully have the choice to go to that bar or another one.

Now to my POINT, does anyone know the future of Polaris?

I have a few issues with Damp flaking paint etc and would like to know how I can get it sorted without too much pain to my ever de-creasing wallet!

Here is a reply that I have recieved from Polaris today after numerous emails a visit to the Head Office....

Dear Sir,

The after sales department can not confirm a date for the evaluation of your property as all works in Condado are temporarily on hold. We will contact you as soon as we receive instructions from the directors.

Best regards

Thanks

Simon

The good news-----Polaris have just completed repairs to the exterior wall of my penthouse.

The bad news-------It has taken them 20 months of requests / e-mails / threats / hoja de reclamacion [complaint sheet] to Alhama Council, I think the message is clear keep at it, they will do it eventually, but always at their own pace
