C. A. P. BLOQUE IX

Just got charged E32.68 on my bank statement with the reference C. A. P. BLOQUE IX

Any ideas what this is before I challenge the bank?

 It's the community fees for 2008, you should of go an email a few weeks ago from milenuin telling you about this.

Interestingly I have a similar charge on my bank statement for 215 Euros under the heading: C. A. P. BLOQUE II

My Property is in Naranjos Jardin 8 and I completed at the end of October 2008 so should only be paying two months max.

Anyone understand this?

We completed similar time Oct / Nov 08 so would anticiapte your fes being similar to mine.

When I was over last in October spoke to ML and they explained that the community fees were from 2008, which had never been requested previously as PW had not worked out what the costs were. ML have now worked out the fees and where requesting these payments.

Where I believe it gets complicated is that I didn't buy until 2009, but the previous buyer had purchased in August 2008, so they were liable for the 5 months of 2008. Because these payments had never been requested, when my solicitor did the search on what was outstanding, these never showed up, only the 2009 payments up until my purchase. Which the previous owner was made to pay when I took over the contract.

What ML have told me is that the property is now my responsibility (spanish law) and therefore the payment is on me to pay and I should try and contact the previous owner and get them to pay me back. 

I have raised this with my Solictor as it seems unfair and I am waiting on a response and will feed back the results on here.

Hope this makes sense, but the value we are being charged is based on how many months in 2008 from when the property was first completed from PW and may not necessarily be the same as your first date.

The fees for the Jardines on my email were for a ground floor were E13.76 and top floor E11.40, per month

Hi All

I have now got to the bottom of this issue with regard to my fees, in my case its our standard quarterly fee which has been given the wrong heading. I have also been informed that my 2008 fees are just over 14 euro’s which sound about right.
