Just returned from CdA

Hello

We have just returned from CdA on Sunday after a week, the outer and inner landscape areas are looking very well maintained, the gardens are likewise.

The roads and pavements are being kept clean and maintained along with all other arears that I saw within the resort.

I played the front 9 and used the practice area and can say that all seems to be in first class condition, the grass areas off the fairways are maturing well and should provide a nice backdrop to the rough once fully grown.

We went to the Clover two of the nights, the first to have some food and the pasta and burger were absoloutly fine, the service of the staff was friendly and adequate.

The security at the gate isnt fantastic although we were asked to show ID twice which has never happened before, although as we noticed in July there are more foot patrols throughout the gardens.

All in all we are pleased with the service thats being provided.

We were stopped quite a lot by security in the two weeks we were out in early October.  Although it was a bit of a pain to keep showing our passports we were quite pleased because it shows that they're doing their job properly. It was only towards the end of our holiday that they didn't stop us, but of course they knew our ugly mugs by then! We were also impressed with the state of the place, although we didn't eat at the Clover but the service seemed fine the times that we drank there. We don't play golf but enjoyed watching it from our balcony. Good to see some positive feedback here for a change!

We went to offices at al kazar on the first day of our holiday and picked up our temporary access card. They have them waiting to be picked up by owners. Maybe a lot of owners do not know they are available!. You just need to display in your car and you wont be asked for identity. Worth calling in for it the next time you are over.

If you havent done so, would recommend you pick up your owners 'Green Card' from the security gate, you just need to show passport/ ID when first collecting. The passes should already have your name(s) on.

We picked ours up in September and this time had it on display on the dashboard each time we approached the gate. No problems at all, in fact they even went out of their way to ensure we sailed through each time without question. Very happy with this arrangement

We were originally told to go to the Millenium office but they then sent us to the Security Gate next to Al Kasar

That was in September so it wouldnt surprise me if they have randomnly changed their minds again !

We have also just returned from Condado after a weeks holiday and we had a great time except for our times in the Clover on arrival (Sat !6th)we went to the Clover for a drink and passing the pool(water feature)in the middle of the Al Kazar we were disgusted how dirty it was and there was 2 dead mice floating.When we went into the Clover  we orderd a smirrnoff ice none left so my wife asked for a glass of cava to be told she has to buy a bottle also no sparkling water left then got a glass of wine wich did not fill quarter of glass.Thought we would give it one more try on Fri22nd after golf so arrived at 4 oclock with golf society around 30 people all looking to get a drink and only one barman serving seen a few guys go to supermarket and buy some beers and sit outside Clover.We also had to go and get our own cushions and friends told us they went to the Clover and ordred 2 pizzas and showed there pw card expecting 1 meal free to be told only discount on drinks available even though they paid over €140 for card.not yet the 5 star resort we bought into.          I will be over in CDA in December for a break for a week, can anyone tell me where to collect the

owners green pass?   And also is the pass only valid for this trip or is it something that we can keep with

us for future holidays next year.

Is there any more news with regard to the starting date for the construction of the temporary

club house?

We collected our pass from the Security Gate but were originally told to go to Milennium. It is definitely one or the other and only a minute walk between the 2 so edge your bets !

They are valid anytime but I understand they will be replaced in due course by a swipe card when they get round to implementing the system

The Pasta from memory was 8.50 and the Burger 10 EUROS, you still get your discount on food if you eat there using the Polaris card, on take outs you dont.

I would try and get the pass on your early on in your holiday in case Millenium need time to get some in. When we were over at the end of August we tried around 4 times to get the card but each time Millenium were still waiting for more to arrive. Hopefully things will have improved.

Good tho to see Security for once challenging us and asking for passports etc.
