 HI PEOPLE , I`VE HAD  ENOUGH ,I BOUGHT   2 APARTMENTS IN APRIL 06 FOR 100,000 EUROS EACH ,  TALKING TO PEOPLE & SOLICITORS I HAVE SEEN NO PROGRESS WHATSOEVER WITH T/HILLS , I WAS GOING TO SPAIN TO LOOK FOR MYSELF WHATS BEEN HAPPENING , BUT I `M NOT GOING TO BOTHER ,I AM INSTRUCTING MY SOLICITOR TO RECOVER MY DEPOSITS . ANYBODY  FANCIES A GAMBLE MAKE ME AN OFFER , DEPOSITS COST ME 9000 EUROS FOR BOTH  . I HOPE I`M PROVEN WRONG , GOOD LOOK EVERBODY.

I don't know how much deposit you paid in saying you had had enough but whatever it was you will have a hell of a job to get it back. I have been down that road when a house the developer had promised a date for completion wasn't even started! They said I could sue them for it but settled out of court because they knew they would lose and have to pay all the court fees as well as us. In your case I suggest you look at your Compra/Venta which you will have got when you paid your deposit and see if it gives a date for supplying you with an escritura. Here on Lo Santiago mine says within 2 years of the date of the contract which will be up in May this year. I shall not invoke it because I paid full whack and live here albeit in a pile of bricks in somebody else's field.but I do think we might be close to getting the escrituras now despite being told twenty times since we came it would be "a few weeks" Good luck I think the Richard and Judy programme's prize disaster is no good thing for THills or these builders. Hi Folks. I visited TH yesterday and there was more work being done. They have levelled a large area to the left of the 1st nine. and there was 4 large earthmovers
at work preparing ground further down on the left. The right hand side of the 1st nine looks as if it has been  prepared for building on that side. As you approach TH there is also a large flat
area prepared. There are Electricity pylons all along the entrance road so it looks as if the mains supply is installed.   On asking when the 1st phase would be complete I was still told it would
be finished at the end of the summer (yes the girl did say this with a straight face)
    I would concede that for such a big project there were not alot of people working but at least there was activity, and enough activity to make me thinks there are no real problems other
than the length of time it will take. There is a lot of pessamistic views on EOS but I feel that if i am patient and realistic, the place will be built but just 18 to 24 months later than expected.
I have taken some photos for anyone interested in looking at pictures of dirt which I will post

got  a physical copy of my guarantee today and also a letter from my agent who says work on building will start anytime now.

    I think your on your 2nd glass of wine tonight. anyway what business's did you have in Hillington
about the guarantee, I,ve had a bank gaurantee since day 1 almost , problem is it has a 3 year life span and runs out
in aug 2008 . so I am cautious about the validity of  the guarantee

4 sure it  was probably  the third!!! I had an Amtrak franchise which we moved to the north of the city and sold on. Also I had a kitchen business there for five years. It was too busy to run the Amtrak and the kitchens so I stuck to Amtrak for13 years.( boy was that hard work)

doin easier stuff now importing hardwood flooring and doors supplying timber merchants etc.

I think the guarantee kicks in if they are over a certain time delivering the project anyway I feel pretty good about TH now and am pretty sure building will commence any day as my agent  said. I found my agents to be decent people who respond to every queerie I have diligently, So I have trust in them.

 

what gave me away with the vino? was it the spelling ? I notice justin has taken off the edit function so my message will have to stay like that for ever. Hope my old teachers are not looking at this site.

Incidentally all my family, brothers , sisters , parents all live in the mearns as I did until I got Married, then lived in Giffnock before moving to EK which is where all my wifes family live.

You must be an EK boy then if you lived there for 25 years?

you must be a golfer if buying on TH my wife is a member at CATHCART CASTLE as are lots of my pals but I am  a member doon the watter.
