I can confirm the Clover is now non smoking inside as of last night but that people who are smoking out side do drop their fag ends on the floor - probably the same people who also drop them at the sides of the golf course tees!!

The ´Flipsy Flopsie´s´looked rather fantastic last night! I think they are really great! Good do on in the bar this Friday night for those who can make it - Yanella Brooks - female singer who I am told really rocked the place a few weeks ago during the volcanic ash debacle.

Are there any ash trays outside? Or do the smokers over there think that dropped butts add to the ambience?

It appears the Flipsy Flopsies decided to have a strop and removed all yhe ashtrays inside & out.

hi folks lets get something straight right now being a smoker myself  i totally agree with no smoking in the clover i was over last week walked in to the bar and it absolutely stunk of cigarettes but as for smoking outside no one will say anything about me smoking outside im not having any little tin pot  anti smoker telling me where i can and cant smoke

I have read back through this forum and can't see where anyone is telling smokers where they can and can't smoke, apart from inside the clover now, which you have said you agree with.  So why the unnecessary rant and insults??  The objection is only about people littering the outside with cigarette butts which any respectable smoker wouldn't do anyway have I missed something?

hi smivs yes it was a rant just getting a bit fed up with the ever growing anti smoking loby on this forum..i was in the clover and it was stinking of cigarettes and even being a smoker myself agree there should be no smoking in any bar ..not trying to insult anyone i just tell it like i see it and yes i would not accept anyone throwing cigarette ends on the floor...see you for a beer sometime...OUTSIDE;     

As long as you are buying the beer I can't afford to drink in that bloody place!!!! supermarket job for me  lol
