Property maintenance fees

Hi all,

I have a 2bed Tilo in Phase 1on the ground floor, and got an email today saying that under Article blah-blah of the Corvera statutes that I am responsible for the upkeep of the garden in front of my apartment. The quote from them to do this for me is E35 per month. I have no problem in paying fair fees for work done, and do acknowledge that having the bit of a garden at the front is a nice asset to the property.

I am curious if anyone else has got a bill, and what do they think of the rates being quoted? Alos, does anyone else recall a letter or email saying that there would be no community/ property charges until 2010?

Does it seem a bit rich to be charging such fees when the golf course isn't open and most of the facilities aren't up and running yet? I note that the golf course is opening next month which is ahead of schedule and good news!

There was something mentioned on a previous thread stating that Community Charges would not be payable until the beginning of 2010.

It hadn't even occurred to me that owners with gardens would be charged an extra separate, optional cost for maintenance.  I would have thought that this cost would have been written into your portion of the community maintenance cost.  Afterall, the look of the gardens will add to the overall look and feel of the development.  Perhaps now you have been given the option, you maybe able to find someone independent to give you a price, hopefully a lower one!    Perhaps Roy Howitt can help

I agree, good news about the opening of the course.  Hopefully the Clubhouse will not be too far behind :)
