Great post Happy Buyer, and I have the same opinons as you.

We were out for 2 weeks in July and didn't experienace any of the problems some have written about on here. I'm glad and relieved to read our happy experiences of the Resort were not the exception.

Well don't we love to moan

We have just returned from two weeks in Condado. (Fantastic full of life party garden 3) we have some new Spanish freinds to thank.

The first proper break we have had scince our purchase, we met some freinds there who we met during the purchasing process with Parador and quite honestly had a blow out.

we had some late nights in the pool and some late nights on the roof with the bbq

we have enjoyed the pool and splashed about a bit

we have encountered several gangs of young children having fun especialy on our garden

we have joined in on the festival held on garden three which played music till 3am. (how Naughty was that)

August is holiday time for families with children some like myself who work an avarage of 80hrs a week and the only one chance in the year to have a bit of fun in the sun.

for those not wanting to have a bit of fun why not try a different time of year when it's much more quiet or just chil out and maybe join in the fun maybe just maybe you may find you will remember how to laugh.

Here it comes.... we will be doing the same in August next year (having fun)

We will be going also during the quiet times but promise to be miserable and do some moaning and complaining ABOUT HOW QUIET IT IS.

I don't think anyone is 'moaning' about others having fun.  The main point is vandalism - which, as far as I'm concerned, is not a necessary component of having fun. Havng fun generally involves everyone - not just those partying on the rooftops til 3am - spare a thought for parents of young children and the elderly.  Can't be much 'fun' for them at that hour???!!!

I'm with you ajw, as parents of 3 young children and another one on the way I don't see why we should have to avoid peak holiday times to ensure a good nights rest for our children.  My husband and I are both young, so like to enjoy ourselves but not at others expense.  We sit on our front terrace on a night time and sometimes enjoy some music at a sensible level until a sensible time(so not to wake the children and others).  If I were to hear others partying until 3am on a roof top loudly, as a one off then it wouldn't bother us, every night is another matter, as children need their rest.  You can enjoy yourself and have a laugh without being too loud.

Fozzer I think your comments were unfair, as I am certainly not moaning about people having fun.  Having fun and having total unregard for your fellow neighbours are two completely different things.  Not to mention the abuse that some have faced by asking fellow neighbours to display some respect towards the rules and complex.   I smile and laugh daily, so I don't need reminding of how to do it, thank you.

I agree Kelly. I am in my early 30's and have no children. I love to party (in fozzers home town of Wigan normally), however in Condado I behave differently as you need to show respect for your neighbours.

Suggesting Families avoid peak season is a little selfish, afterall thats when their children are on school holidays.

Come on Fozzer, party your heart out down King Street, then go to Condado to chill, remember we didnt buy in Ibiza for a reason.

Well said Darren & Kelly,

I too like a good party but as you say not at the expense of others, and  you don't have to stay up till 3.00am to have a good time, I would expect my  15 year old to brag about something like that, not a grown up.  Thank God I didn't buy on Jardine 3, much too noisy for my liking.

Ok Ok Ok

bring out all the good guys now...

At the risk of dragging this on.

Firstly when we were up till 3 am there was a festival on. sorry it was planned by the party garden three the garden with a bit of life in holiday season. (several other gardens joined in also so its not just wiganers who were at the party, Spanish Welch French and several other English people to name a few.

Secondly we have family ouselves and would respect everyone in the imediate vesinity with the noise and always have so back off those jumping on the good bandwagon.

My point was a lot on this forum complain for complainings sake and originaly this was about vandalism on Garden 8 we were up till late on several occasions drinking with our spanish and English freinds and had no complaints over noise.

If we were keeping others awake and someone complained we would be so so embarresed. So We do have respect for others ajw, kelly, Darren and Simon / Alison. (you obviosly missinterperated my post).

I am not after a reply and not after an argument just sick of reading doom and gloom and moans over mostly petty gripes, maybe it's because everytime we have been to Condado it's been great.

we were over during the busyest weeks of the year for families and the only time we notice we with familys can get away so forgive us for letting our hair down a bit. Kids playing in gangs at night are mainly Spanish again on Holiday and i for one have never been disturbed by this.

I personaly have not yet seen or heard the so called rabel like parties a few of the writers are suggesting are going on Ibiza style.

Alison / Simon get off your high horse i was not bragging about partying till 3am. Thank god your not on my Garden too.... no smart replies eh

what i will say though the more bad publisity you give this resort on this forum the more issues you will create for the whole resort in the long run. By all means pass on information and warnings to others but come on give up on the whining.....

end of rant , unless

I think most people can put up with a bit of noise late at night on the odd occassion.  Just back from 2 weeks in CDA and have to say didn't encounter any late night partying that was noisy.  Sitting outside at midnight you could hear a few people out on the terraces having a drink but that was about it.  We had a great time and I agree with previous posters that its nice to see kids out playing till late enjoying themselves.

One point on the pool.  In our pool there were balls and inflatable toys everywhere.  But everyone was having fun and enjoying themselves, and watching out for others.  I can understand the rules but if the use of these are supervised by parents I personally would never complain.  Kids were enjoying them soo much that after day 3 I bought my 2.5yo son an inflatable crocodile and it was the best €8 I've ever spent.  For my mind the pool is for fun, and as long as the pool is not too crowded I like to see all the kids playing and enjoying themselves.

Hi Fozzer,

I was not implying that you have been disrespectful towards fellow neighbours but I know that some people have been, I know of 2 incidents in particular which were drunken fuelled whilst partying at all hours.

1. A president being told to F**k off you fat B, because he tried to impose the rule of no glass in the pool area (If a glass was broken, the pool would need to be drained to ensure that there were no pieces in there, I am sure that no-one would want this and therefore prevention is better than cure)

2.  A lady in the Jardines asking late night swimmers to exit the pool after midnight as they were very loud and were disturbing her.  They then entered her Garden with their parents and hurled aload of abuse at her.  She is elderly and was very intimated and called security.

Also jumping over the fence in the swimming pool, who pays when it collapses?

These are examples of total unregard towards fellow neighbours

My children play with inflatables in the pool, but when the pool is busy, I tell them to take them out.  As I said in my previous post partying until 3am occassionally is fine, every night being a different matter, where noise is concerned.  If the noise level is low, then that's fine.

The part of my post directed to Fozzer, was about his comment being unfair suggesting I stay at home with my children when they are off school because I want them to have a peaceful nights sleep without them waking up tired in the morning.  I for one am not a moaner and will only offer my opinion to something that could directly affect me.  I think it's great that there was a carnival and the resort came together and would imagine that most people were involved.  Unfortunately I was back in the UK.

I am certainly not suggesting that one misunderstood or misinterpritated my post in an obvious manner, as by quoting obviously implies that one is thick, but I am sure that Fozzer didn't mean to quote obviously

This is not a rant, as I don't feel that a rant is necessary when posting an opinion.

Hi Fozzer,

I make no apolgies about my reply to your first post, but you have to admit that that post implies that when you are on your summer hols you couldn't give a flying fcuk for anyone else as long as you are enjoying yourself and that is what I have found  hard to take.  Maybe we have misinterpreted your post but this implication comes from the fact you telling us to basically stay at home in the height of summer.

I am not a good guy, far from it,  just respectfully of other people and there needs and feelings when living in such close proximity.

Hello to Markbarrowman.

Why would the Welsh concern you???  Are you really a closet welshman screaming to come out can you answer these questions:-

a)  at a pub sing song do you mime the worlds of SOSBAN FACH

b)  do you secretly read the Western Mail, under the stairs/in the attic/in the loo

c)  do you view S4C even when there's not a sports programme on

d)  have you ever considered transferring your account to The Bank of Wales

e)  have you started to pretend that only an injury robbed you of a Welsh schoolboy cap

f)   are you beginning to enjoy the Eisteddfod on TV

If you answer Yes to any of the above you are indeed a closet Welshman and our help is urgently needed

The following are some of the more subtle and sophisticated ways of achieving that end:-

a)  dress up like a druid with pitchfork in hand - not very practical if stuck in a queue at Tesco's

b)  sing a lot - we are of course wonderful singers and by singing a lot you are showing the world that you are one of God's chosen race - however we don't join in with another singers and double up on the melody line OH NO we sing in harmony or what we think is harmony

c)  wear national dress - purists think this is over the top but cannot be denied very impressive when walking into your local.  Others will immediately be aware that not only are you a pratt but you are a Welsh pratt.

d)  hyphenate your name eg Owen-Bowen-Owen;  Huw-Trew-Pugh; Evan Bevans-Evans and the like.  Are they not impressive.  You too can give yourself the aura of Welsh landed gentry by just adding the odd Llewellyn, Hopkins, Jones, Davies or Pugh and a hyphen.  Don't use Patel, this seems to confuse people.

e)  always hate the ref and admire Miss World for her politics.

Please please don't have a go at me for totally wandering off the thread of this post I am only trying to cheer people up and have a laugh.  I hope

Jane (Sian in Welsh)  Love you all.  Will be out on Condado 20th Sept if you want to put a face to this thread.  I also very shy.

Hi Jane,

As a good Welsh girl  married to an Englishman (none of us are perfect) I found you're last post very funny. It's good to have some lighthearted banter now and then as well as discussing serious issues.

Sorry for going off the subject. Please don't tell me off.

Nos Da (Goodnight)

Cherrie

Simon / Alison.

well done for continuing this on and on. Believe me i don't need your apology and would not accept it either.

you obviously did not see i too have family and out at the only time permisable off school with my kids. we are nicely respected on our garden thanks and we respect those around us thanks. (finished explaing myself to you)

your last response is starting to annoy me especialy the swearing. Back off now. no need to reply

 Hi Kelly,

sorry to hear you have been experiencing so much greif we don't ever see this...

inflatables in the pool i expect to see a bit during school holiday times sorry but the kids have to have a bit of fun guys and i am aware of the pool rules. (with kids comes noise which is not always bad) i personaly thought this august the place was full of life and was thrilled to see it I am sure most would agree not all but most.

Last year it was desperately quiet, we are very lucky the resort is starting to take off. in my opinion and it's only my opinion for the better.

We need some rules granted and we don't want Ibeza but; we don't want a cemetry either.

The rest of the year inflateables are scarce maybe the pool is to cold then. (no complaints about the cold pools please)

I never never said anyone is thick and was not the intention.

I hope your next visits are better than your last ones.

No jokes about my spelling please i am from Wigan!

Jane

Great response but the thread is now lost

Fair enough Fozzer - hopefully we can get back onto the Vandalism topic and we can all agree that if we see something being trashed by kids (or grown-ups for that matter) we don't ignore it.  Hopefully we will all be aware of what our offspring are up to and not getting up to mischief.  That's where the eyes in the back of the head are needed
