But she told me that building restarts next week and that the whole site is due for completetion for December. She seems very enthusaistic (and relieved) about this.

I was chatting with the obralia workman doing snagging and stuff and he said he was flat out in the run up to summer as people go to notary.

Didint get much info on the pool situation tho, she said it would be officially open in summer???  Keys would be made available to owners soon.

Great news for the development but will you not rub it in about the weather. I'm looking out the window at heavy rain, probably 12 degrees and the promise of a thunder storm this afternoon.  That's a break from the strong easterly winds we've been getting for the past week!

If it happens this is really good news & thanks Richard for letting us know. It actually concurs with what I was told insofar as our house on Ph 5 will have the licence at the end of 2009.

Stella & I are going over for a week on 30th June so we hopefully will see some activity, just need the pound to improve and 2010 could be a good year.

We have just returned from San Juan, we have had a wonderfull week weather was fantastic. Great news about the site we are on phase 7 and were told that it will be ready by August, after we picked ourselves up and wiped the tears from our eyes we asked if she would put it in writing and guess what she said !!! I bet she is a mean poker player. Looks like there are another 2 bars opening up in the town on the main drag, one near the roundabout and the other next to Cortajo's.

We would still like to get our money back but when you see how the site could look when finished, it is so frustrating. The building work still going on in town is huge, they are trying to finish the duel carriage way off into town from pulpi. It still amazes us as to why they need a road as big as this into San Juan It looks like the M1. The mozzies were out on a night time but around the golf course millions of them. I would like to thank Richard & Eva for all the help once again, even though we want our own home over there we have never rented a bad Villa. I am sorry but I hope we dont have to use your services for much longer.

Please dont forget if anyone sees a fleet of Vans pull up at the site, start writing on this site.

Its a shame that Peinsa have been unable to communicate anything about the project - and even at this stage there is still nothing.  Suspect that so many folk have pulled the plug on this (or at least trying to) that Peinsa will at some point? have a lot of properties to move on.

You dont have to give me a HMMMMMM as I can HMMMMMMMMMMMM bigger, had an email off our solicitor this morning confirming what they told us last week. We dont believe either of them as like you we have seen the place and by the way it has not changed since the last time you were there. Unless 1000 troops invade our site this week i think we are onto Plums again, but Jesus did walk on water and rose from the dead so whats new. Come on Peinsa give us our house or money back !!!!!

Well, don't shoot the messenger BUT .... I have seen more activity on site yesterday than in the last 6 months. There were at least a dozen guys unloading a truck at Phase 5/6 with what looked like paving stones . I haven't seen any movement on that part of the site since October. I hope this wasn't a one off and that there is more happening today - I'll let you know what I see!

4 small but white vans and a few men in hard hats and big boots pushing wheel barrows about  this mornig when I passed. Nothing major but more than last week, or the week before, or the.....well, you get the idea!

As I was clearing out all the urgent messages from Eroski in my letter box, I came across what I subsequently discovered was a local council bill for rubbish collection for the first quarter of 2009 - for 31,99 euros (refers to the large roadside bins on the estate).  Attached to it is a slip for standing order payment.  It appears to an authentic document.

The most alarming thing about this is the deadline - 6 June 2009.  Apologies if this ground has already been covered in the forum, but I thought all owners should be aware of this, as many (like me) thought all the bill payments would be regularised when we became established communities.  I would anticipate many would have assumed the boxes were full of nothing but junk-mail, and some possibly don't even have the letter box key, so I'm sure Pulpi will have many bills unpaid by the stated deadline.

Hi Dave

The basura (waste disposal) is an individual owner thing and nothing to do with the community. If you take the slip to the bank they can normally pay it and set you up a direct debit.

I wouldnt worry too much they never chase them up until about 2 years have passed, i normally wait till the end of year summary and pay that.
