Hi.

Just a question regarding signing of contracts at notary, Do you get the Keys to the property as soon as you sign or do you have to wait for them. If you have to wait how long.

yep we got our keys when we signed the contract..we had to sign for the keys as well, but had to wait for the letterbox keys

Could any one tell me if Phase 2 properties are still on builders supplies for water & electrics.

Hi Mick,

We are trying to arrange our completion on phase 2 at the moment, Our solicitor informed me that Taray have said the builders supply of electricity and water has been disconnected, therefore we need to arrange our own supplies.

Can anyone who has completed confirm this? and if so what tariff do we need to go onto or is that arranged by taray?

When are you completing. We are over in Spain in a couple of weeks. Not sure about the water & electrics,sent e-male to Taray to try and find out.

we are going over at the end of the month and hope to complete that week. But it's going to be a pain if there are no supplies, especially if we have to rely on Taray to arrange connection with the water and electricity companies. I have no idea how we ensure we get put on the correct tarrifs, or are Taray relaible in doing this?

What is the experience of those that have completed - have you done this yet?

We completed on our quad in January and at that stage we paid €300 - 400 (can't remember exact amounts) to Taray (when we were at the notary signing) to sign us up to the electric and water companies.   We were over in San Cayetano in April and we were told by the residents who are there that to their knowledge we are still on builders supply.   We certainly haven't received any bills yet or any documentation from the electric and water suppliers with an account number etc.

We are back in San Cayetano at the end of June, so we hope to find out more then.
