Block 7

We completed on our apartment in Block 7 in December 2006 and have paid all our community fees.

We are very happy with our apartment and have spent several holidays there and successfully rented out for most of summer.

All the feed-back we have had has been very possitive but we are very worried by a few comments in this forum.

eg: "Block 7 fiasco"  "Parts of Block 7 going to fall down"

Can anyone please tell us what the history behind these comments is.

We are also in block 7 and like you love our appartment . All are guests love la reserva and the peace and solice of the area. Many have told of experiences staying elsewhere in marbella and prefer La Reserva.

There has been a problem with licences which should be sorted soon, many doom and gloom merchants dislike the look of block 7 and spend there whole time running it down. There are too many with hidden agenda's. So enjoy your appartment and ignore the moaners and groaners.

I referred to Block 7 fiasco with regards to the lack of habitation licence and consequent TV publicity and investors who had bought hoping to flip and then decided to sue the developer. The majority of these people have not paid their  community charge and you can see this on the AGM debtors list. I have read that they have successfully sued the developer but it has gone to appeal. Sorry can't help out on the falling down comment not one of mine. I have heard that the grey wall surrounding block 7 has to be painted or rendered with stone as part of the granting of the licence, but not sure about this as you would assume that as the licence is going through the processes this would have been done, as of August it had not..
I am glad you like La Reserva as we do and have had success with holiday lets as this speaks for itself about the development when other parts of the letting business are reporting lack of rentals.
As James/yvonne said once we get this licence things can only pick up and I think the administrators are doing their best with the reduced amount of community fees they have.

To put a previous right the problem is Block 3 not 7 as that looks fine
Now if you drive down past the corner of Block 3 by the Berin wall thats whats going to fall one day and if you want confimation I can post what I have witnessed.
