What a cheek !!

Had an email from our original solicitor today. We haven't heard from them since 2006 and have had two other solicitors since then.

They gave us details of how they can pursue Huma for the recovery of our funds and asked for an upfront payment of 2,500 euros plus costs for POA etc.

The laughable thing about this is that they were the lawyers who assured us in their very office that our purchase in 2004 was safe, legal and would go smoothly. They of course were working with Huma.

NOW they want to charge us to get our own money back !!!!!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry !!!

  Interestingly, Huma sent us a letter advising our BG would be renewed very soon, that was after we had terminated the contract 5 months earlier and executed the BG 2 months earlier !

What annoys me is that this developer and the banks both put as many 'blocks and barriers' in the way to make it difficult for you to get a refund. All in the name of fraud and legalization / red tape when really the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.
Thereby if you were that way inclined, it would be so easy to fraudulently make a false claim.
