Hi Carol,
I agree, but by having a man around does not automatically mean they will be good at or indeed get aroung to the DIY! We have moved home about 10 times and by now I am used to using a drill and doing most of the DIY at home as otherwise I would wait all blooming year for it to get done!!! If we knew of somewhere or someone where we could borrow or hire DIY equipment while we are there for the 2 weeks then we would gladly do it ourselves as I know how cheaper it is to buy curtain rods etc... from Ikea and the likes.

Whoops sorry girls, didn't mean to upset anyone. 
I should of said "any DIY PERSONS out there". Slap my wrist!
I can turn my hand at most things but there are some things that if I can get someone else
to do - I 'm not shy in asking!

Hi all
I wish I had a Euro for every person that has said how hard can it be to do that small DIY job and then ended up paying a lot of money to a Plummer, Electrician or someone to repair the damage they have done. irrespective of being Mail or Female.

If any ladies persons would like any assistance putting anything up, whilst i amble back from the watering hole on my 8km stroll to J4 then inbetween stopping at Carol's on J13 for a San Miguel and Chris's on J9 for a glass of Rioja then i would be more than happy to assist
If not I'll just have another drink with you instead as that 15km walk will sure be thirsty work

Hi all
Even if I do say so myself I am competent at DIY and have over the years turned my hand to most areas of DIY usually successfully.
Now that statement is probably setting myself up for a fall
Unfortunately I probably don’t complete until the end of the year so wont be much use to those of you completing now. However we are over and hopefully staying on Condado mid September for a week, but I wont have any tools with me, I could hold the ladder for shampers, or if its towards the end of his epic walk home, having had several helping of sustenance along the way maybe hold shampers up.
Joking apart I would be more than happy to assist with small DIY tasks when I am there, obviously I cant undercut shamers rates so the same arrangement will be fine.

If you're walking past Naranjos garden 1 around Oct I have a few jobs in exchange for a cava or two

Think I'll need a hammock on a few terraces as well (every 4th Jardine should do).................. be no more uncomfortable than sleeping all night on the beach in Magaluf  , ...... ohhh those were the days

Better start by breaking him in gently then and start local.
So yes, same as Phil says (ptan) shampers give us another date, I know you thought you were a Billy no mates but I couldn’t make the last one ether, so new time and date required with reasonable notice.
