EOS Site Update Nº3
Thursday, July 25, 2013

These are the latest updates to the site which have gone live today. If you were to experience any problems please let us know. There are many more improvements on the way which we will inform you about as and when they go live. Thanks!

1. There is now a drop down menu to select the correct forum category when you create a new thread. It is now not necessary to go to the Spain Discussions page to select the forum category. You can create a new thread in any forum and allocate the correct category before submitting the thread.

2. We have upgraded the text editor as the previous one was becoming obsolete and this should solve many problems with text sizes/fonts/paragraphs etc apart from that it looks a lot better :)

Please let us know if you have any issues, there are a couple of issues with uploading images to blogs/threads which we are working on at the moment...

3. A warning triangle has now been added above the Message text box on the post pages in the Community Forums to remind members to adhere to Forum rules, before it only appeared on the general forum.

4. All posts by the Official EOS Blog will now appear with an orange title in the latest blogs list so that you can locate our posts more easily and keep up to date.

5. Articles are now available to users who are not logged in which will increase readership. If you wish to present an article for publishing please go to this page:

Thanks  more on the way...  :-)

EOS Site Update Nº2
Tuesday, July 16, 2013

Here are a few more updates whihc have been made to the site, just a few from a long list of improvements still to come. Thanks for all your comments, all points will be taken into consideration and some are already on the way.

These are the recent updates :

1. Contact Us/FAQs link added to the second line of the top main menu bar.

To facilitate contact with us and to find answers more easily, before it wasn't easily accessable so we added an extra link.

2. Warning Triangle above Message text box has been added to New Thread/Forum Reply pages to remind members to remain polite and adhere to Forum Rules when posting....hopefully it will work as a quick reminder before posting something inappropriate!! If someone does decide to ignore it don't be surprised if you are edited or the post is deleted.

3.Captcha spam protection added for when users comment on Blogs or Articles.

This will avoid spam comments on blogs and posts whihc have been a problem in the past. Before, writing the Capital of Spain was the only hurdle for a spam comment....not very difficult really. So this should knock all spam comments on the head.

4.List this blog on My Profile tick box option under Edit/view blog settings.

You can choose whether to add or remove your blog from your EOS Profile and run your EOS Forum Profile separately to your blog user name. As some members would rather interact on the forum under their Nik and publish under their real name on the blog. This now allows you to do so. All you have to do is select or deselect the option in your Edit/View blog settings control panel.

These are just a few little improvements but there is some really great stuff coming shortly to improve threads, blogs and

We'll keep you updated :)

EOS Site Update Nº1
Friday, July 12, 2013

We have been working hard recently to make some improvements to the site and will be continuing to do so over the next month or so. The first improvement to be launched was a Blog Approval System for new blogs. This has been active for over a month or so and seems to have achieved its objective: filter out Spam Blogs. Any new blog now must be approved by us before going live on the site and must have at least one post for it to be approved. To date we have filtered numerous spam blogs and avoided them clogging up the latest blogs list, so sorry...no more posts on Canadian duck feather coats or the latest Japanese parts to tune your car!

Over the next month we will be launching new improvements and we will let you know as they go live.

Thanks

Eos Team
