Estoy aprendiendo Espanol con un profesor y en el coche con CDs. No hablo espanol bien y no puedo escribir bien. Pienso que es necesario vivir en Espana antes de tu puede hablar la lengua bien. Mis padres eras Italiano, que ayuda me un poco
(please excuse my spanish as i still translate literally word for word, whish sometimes doesnt work, i dont have a huge vocabulary, and im not sure about the spelling, and i dont have a "tilda" on my keyboard - oh, and my Spanish teacher has just gone back to Spain for a couple of months! )
Espero que puedo vivir en Espana para mucho tiempo despues de dos o tres anos

the two brits just stare at him.
excusez-moi , parlez vous francais?the two continue to stare.
parlate italiano? no response.
hablan ustedes espanol? still nothing.
so he has a final try~ tatakalamaani bil arabiyya?
the swiss man drives off, extremely disgusted.
the first brit turns to the secondand says, you know we should learn a foreign language.
why ?says the other. that guy knew five and it didnt do him any good
On a similar note, my grandmother used to love telling a tale about being approached on a platform on the London Underground for directions by a Czech gentleman. She gave him the necessary directions, in fluent Czech, for which he thanked her and turned to leave. My grandmother, being the curious type, stopped him and asked how he knew that she could speak Czech. He replied "I didn't, but it's the only language I speak. You're the first person who understood me."
She told me this story so many times that it became just a little boring, but it's still quite nice anyway!
