Hi Nikki

Please forgive me but I do not understand what you are trying to say?  I have read your post a couple of timesnow, are you saying 'you know a company that charges twice for holding your keys??'  And you know a company that doesn't charge at all if you use there other services?? What other services wouldyou have to use?

Hi we have just returned from a 2 week stay in An apartment in Jardin 12. Our arival at condado should have been around 11.30 pm but we got lost & arrived 2 hrs late. Dispite this Carol The owners Key holder was there to meet us, We were over to sort out ligting & have a general look around & measure our apartment.

We bought a fabulous Rattan Suite in a great sale but when it was delivered it was to bigto get up the stairs . We have a two bed. We contacted Carol ( Angel babe  & along with a member of her team & the loan of some equipment .they were able to get all the furniture onto the terrace in a very short time.

Carol does have an excelent team around her. So we too would highly recomend her,

Incidently she had no idea that we were looking for a key holder & would not except any financial reward for allof her hard work.

Jan & Ham

Hi all,

I've been reading the latest posts for a while and as someone else said surely it's better to help one another than tear each other to shreds. There will be plenty of work for all the people who are providing a good standard of work and service.

One thing to be very wary of , make sure whoever you use are a LEGAL company, ie paying there taxes, insurance etc. Having a holiday apartment on Riquelme I know from experience the cheapest are usually the 'illegal' ones. You may save a few bob but when something goes wrong you may find yourself out of pocket and looking elsewhere, think would you give the keys of your home to someone you don't know  or have heard from someone down the pub is trustworthy, I think not.

You may have guessed, I have been stung by a fly-by-nighter keyholder who now is back in blighty,  things didn't go as well as planned for him but he's gone with mine plus a good few other peoples cash.

Another one to watch out for, a certain scottish ' interior designer' is touting his buisness around after leaving a good few people out of pocket and with unfinished properties on Riquelme. Stay clear he will leave you high and dry, yet again another ''illegal' ripping good people off.

Interested to hear all your thoughts.

Monty

Totally agree Monty, We are in the process of getting everything legal so we can provide a full management and maintainance service. It costs a fortune( 300 euros per month with accountant fees etc) Alot is still based on trust between both parties.  Mark & Tracy.

hi all,

i to would like to add to this chat about key holders.

and belive they need to offer a good trusting service, if i was paying for this.

however, i am at present moving people to Condado

and collecting keys, from Polaris office, and various key holders

to deliver goods into apartments

NO disrespect to any keyholders i collect from (apart from 1 who told me he didnt live

on site and someone , had a key. only to arrive at security

and find it was left there.

i think on delivery side of your goods. i am entitled to my opinion

that Carol, checks your goods as if her own before i leave site

that they are not Damaged

also when i arrived late last friday night

there was not a problem collecting keys

AGAIN NOT WANTING TO UPSET ANY KEY HOLDING PARTYS

but i would if i was paying and TRUSTING a person with my property

i could not recomend anyone better

allan

Mark, going legal to me is the only way to go if you are in it for the long term, it does sound expensive but personally I think it will get you more buisness in the future. You will probably be more expensive than the ones doing it for the 'beer money' but you will see these fade away eventually as you usually get what you pay for. I am a builder and over the years have lost jobs only to find out I have been undercut by someone getting benifit etc and doin it for cash, is this not the same?

nozzer, no idea what you mean

allan,

Sorry have read again and still don't know what you are getting at except maybe promoting one particular person which is fair enough. Let me know if I am missing something.

hi Monty,

just returned back home late sunday night

and just saw your reply (regarding promoting some one)

all i was trying to say. from my experiance , with dealing with key holders

and again no dissrespect to all  holders

that if i had a appartment i would use Carol as my key holder

as i said , and i think it is way above her need .

but she checks i deliver peoples furniture un damaged

and insists she comes and makes sure appartment is secure(locked)

after me.

so again this is more and above what i would expect .

so just trying to voice my opinion

on my meetings

Hi Allan,

Maybe I expect too much but I certainly would expect my keyholder to do this also, if this is not the norm fairplay to carol. I do understand many 'keyholders' just do it for the beer money and to subsidise pensions or dole money back home etc so having a LEGAL registered company in my eyes is of utmost importance especially if something goes wrong.
