Does a NintendoWii bought in UK work in Spain?

I had Amazon vouchers for xmas and want to buy a Nintendo Wii but when I move permanently to Spain I want to make sure it will work - can anyone help?

Alot of games will tell you on the back if there are language (idiomas) options.  Check the back and see if it lists languages or shows flags.  If not, then ask someone in the shop/store.  If it's all in Spanish and you don't see anything about languages on the back, then it more than likely will only be in Spanish.

Yes it will have the languages on the back, normally a ring with all the different flags on plus if you buy form Game in Spain they will always exchange if they don´t work in English

Games howvever are MUCH MORE expensive in Spain and I normally buy form Amazon and other stores online and get them shipped tp Spain

Just to put you at complete ease I bought a Wii at Gatwick airport on Friday and it worked no problem at all.  THe real advantage also is the instructions are all in english etc !!  As below I would buy the games in UK or get delivered by Amazon - very good service to Spain etc.

As far as I know there are three regions:

1. PAL UK: valid for all Europe including Spain.

2. NTSC - USA or region free: all the games from this region are valid for the other two.

3. NTSC - Japan: games do not work on PAL UK region.

Most of the games that we can find on the market are "region free" and they are fully translated into different languages or at least they have subtitles. Yes, games in Spain are very expensive and it is better to buy them from stores online.
