i read an article on spainishnews. es about eviciting tenants who do not pay their rentand my hopes have been raised! finally something that will get me out of the awful situation i am in! does anybody have any other information on this law? know whenn it is coming into effect?

Very interesting law that Congress has passed and even more intriguing how it can be implemented. In our country the eviction process is long and costly. We have had to do it three times in ten years and there is no rent income during that time.

Hello Ciara. Sorry to be the one to put a dampner on this thread . I dont want to sound like ITV but correct information is important. To date this law is allowing for an eviction within 15 days if the tenant does not move voluntarily after the courts decesion to evict him or her. congress has agreed  to modify the law of 2008 and it has been appoved. The next move is for this modification to be presented to the Senate. If anyone has happier news I would be happy to hear of it.
