When I was 16 my mum asked the local radio station in Cyprus, where we lived, to play Neil Sedaka singing Happy Birthday sweet 16" for me. I was told to sit by the old valve radio (1965) & enjoy the requests. Happy days.  ,

God, this one takes me back. We lived in Cyprus for many years & I had to go to school by a rickedy old bus, took almost an hour to do around 16 miles on the Cypriot roads in those days. There was a record player fitted in the bus (not joking here) & the old Cypriot orderly, meant to keep us in order, (HA) used to put lots of records on & this was one. I recall singing it with another 40 odd kids all at the tops of our voices. Best part of my school day.

Hi More and thanks a million what a great show , those sticky out dresses brought it all back, I used to put my net underskirts in sugar water to make them stick out, till my dad in his wisdom god love him came up with the idea of putting curtain wire round the bottom of my skirts in the hem, no more prickly legs great......till I sat down at the dance......Teddy Boys loved it, my dad never lived it down. Are we aloud to go off on one on this section or is it just Music. can't help it More it's all these great songs and singers you are finding, FANTASTIC MORE. Sandra

Do you now that record of Elvis laughing that much at his backing singer that
he could'nt sing, did that ever get onto film/tape sorry I don't no what it's called.
This is going to end up like two way family favourites (now that will get the young
ones wondering more). I'm no good with all that tech stuff like you so I think this
