airbnb in Majorca

Hi,
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but cant find the exact answer.
I am interested in buying some properties in Majorca for both as an investment and to rent out. I have read that the government have tried to make most rentals illegal on airbnb and you need to apply for special permits in order to do this, how hard it is to get these permits and if it is possible? It seems there are still many people renting out on airbnb so i presume there is some sort of solution?
