Looking for large property to rent and moving from Uk to Spain help :)

Hi,

As title says, we are looking for a large 200+ sq metre internal, and as much land as possible external property.
Either within an hour from Barcelona (we have friends there)
Or within an hour from Malaga Airport.
Top end of the budget is really 1000 euros per month. A minimum of a one year stay, but if the place is really well suited to us it could be much longer. Girona could also be an option.

We are 100% coming, and mid October is the deadline.

We are also weighing up the options of either shipping all our belongings by a courier and flying over, Or doing a one way van rental.
Van hire seems to be approximately £100 per day, + ferry and fuel costs.

To do by courier, the best quotes have been around £30 for 30 kilos roughly.

Oh dear, this member hasn't provided any information yet.

You may have a problem because property is becoming scarce in Spain now that the toxic bank owns it all. You could try the internet and maybe get lucky, Try google and put in ''property to rent spain'' something might come up. A few friends of mine actually contacted some rental agents, but I am not sure if they had anything. Could be worth a go.

If you wanted a change in career why not become a Spanish property agent. Clearly a big gap in the market for this now.

Apparently much of Spain takes August off, but I have been looking on websites, fotocasa, idealista, enalquiler etc

Just thought i'd post here on the offchance that a member of the forum might have owned a place for rent or knew of somewhere local to them that could be suitable. Word of mouth is still worth a shot in the dark.

And if anyone else wanted to share a van down there to save money, that could be good
