Does anyone know whether there´s a way to find out who owns a property? I am intererested in a house and I know it´s for sale, but don´t want to use the estate agent as we´ve already had a bad experience with them.

Cheers

Irene

Try the town hall as sometimes they don't care what details they give out or if your one does not then put the address in the Internet and sometimes you may be lucky especially if they have a debt against them.
All the best

You could either approach the administrators or find out who is the president of the community and maybe they could at least pass a message on to the owners for you.

I can't think of any other way you could do it.

You should be able to trace the owner by searching for the title deeds that should be registered at the Registro propiedad.  See link below.

Hi Irene - you could try other estate agents in the area, as there are very few exclusive contracts these days.  Most properties will be available through several agents, so you may not have to deal with an agent you don't trust.

Worth a try anyway!
