Wrong numbers

We get people phoning witht the wrong number. does anyone know if they cannot dial properly or does the system make the wrong connection.
just had 2 in 15 minutes

depends how long you have had the phone line.
i had debt collectors phoning me day and night on a line i got installed in a house once to the point i just unplugged the phone.
the numbers get recycled and it sometimes depends how long the old number has been out of the `pool`
