Hi there. My name is Ashley and I'm new to these forums.  I was told you folks have a great community here, and thought I'd ask a couple of quick questions.

To make a long story short, I'm 22, about to graduate from a culinary school in the U.S. and absolutely dying to find an internship in a Spanish restaurant.  I've been trying to do research online, but its quite overwhelming.  I'm looking for a small to medium sized restaurant, preferably in Barcelona or elsewhere in Catalonia, who has at least one employee who speaks English (I speak Spanish okay, but no Catalonian).

Basically, I'm just lost when it comes to even finding restaurants that match these qualifications, and would love it if any of yall could point me in the right direction or offer any advice.

Thanks in advance :)

Nope. My school requires a 6 week internship to graduate, and except in rare cases where I have to get dean approval, they must be unpaid.

Would South of Spain, Algeciras, work for you? A good friend of mine is the owner of a great restaurant here.

I'm certainly open to the idea of southern Spain :)  I did some quick research on the town, and it seems very interesting being on the coast and so close to Morocco.

I'll send you a private message with my work e-mail address, and we can chat further. Thanks!
