Do you have to pay inheritance tax if it is your primary residence???

Hi 
I attended a Landlord and Buy -to-let show and got talking a Spaniard who claims he is the son of the builder of the properties they were selling in Mazarron. He says it is wrong for builders to take deposits on propetires that do not have a building licence. I dont know if his wrong means illegal or just bad practice. Taray has taken millions of euros in deposits on phase 2 with out a building licence.
Does any one know the truth?

I am not starting a panic. All I want is the truth. The deeper you dig in to the Spanish property system the more you realise it is pot luck if your purchase goes to plan. What seems to be law depends on what the local mayor wants. Unfortunately, those who have purchased on phase 2 have been dragged in to the credit crunch and corrupt mayors all at once. 
It has been stated else where on EOS today that some building licenses have been investigated and slowing down the build for some developers. Even those that have been caught up in it through no fault of their own. I hope the credit crunch has had little or no effect on Taray and they go on and do a good a job on phase 2 as phase 1.
All Taray will say is that they hope to start soon, but they have been saying that for 5 months now. How many months should this go on before it is a problem? Fore warned is fore armed
I am also trying to find out if it is worth complaning about our old solicitor. He has no connection with Taray but his command of the Spanish property system is less than mine.

I understand where your coming from you only have to look at whats going on with san jose lets just hope it dont happen here.
Houses are not selling well here or spain. i do hope phase 2 is built for everyone who has bought there time will tell eh
I have just sacked my solicitor cos they were crap and im sure they are in cahoots with taray.

Anyway come on man utd stuff chelsea tonight fingers crossed

I hope phase 2 is built too but I think phase 1 and 2 will compliment each other and the village. I wonder how many of us have had problems with their solicitor. My old one has just emailed saying he has always been efficient at answering my questions. I think efficient must be lost in translation some where. Looking back with hindsight, our solicitor seemed affraid at the notary and a bit nervous, maybe something under hand was going on between him and the agent. They would get paid and the punter (us)would have to suffer. We now know the agent and solicitor broke their contract with us by showing and promoting developments that did not have all licenses in place. Nothing we can do except change solicitors. 
Taray have had an excellent track record in their buildings so I hope it continues.
