Hi there,

Has anyone had Superbeam Digital TV installed. I am quite interested , as you can pay as you go- if you are not a full time resident.

Otherwise what systems have people got , that they would recommend?

Hi,

We use Tele Micro through the community aerial (is that right - never written the word before) which gives a reasonable selection of channels for 180 euro p.a. once set up. Reception not a great deal worse than Sky in UK. 

I think you get this for short periods only i.e. when in Spain but am not sure how this works.

Hi,

I have rethought my opinion of Telemicro.

Their problems providing English language channels appears to have seriously weakened their product.

Check their current line up carefully when considering who to choose. If it is no better than their May line up we will probably be changing. On the other hand can the opposition continue with their advertised packages?

Any up to date comment on "best buys".

We had Superbeam installed about two weeks ago when we were out in Almoradi. We paid €550 for installation and then €32 for the month for the pay per view package (normally the €16 package if you pay monthly direct debit). We found them very easy to deal with (mostly via emails) and they arrived promptly and installed it within an hour!

We were only there for a few days, but it seemed to work fine and it will be on hopefully, when my niece goes out there on Monday next week. They say it is easy to switch on the pay per view package as and when you want it, which suits us fine as we don't live there.
