Hi

We have been looking to buying in the Calasparra region.

We have been sent details of two developments - La Canada Tierra de Sol which we can find lots of infromation about.

The other one appears to be right next door, in fact on google earth the roads seem to join, and is only divided from La Canada by a line of trees.  Apart from what the agent is telling us there seems to be no other info.  Can any one give us some more information? Is it a totally differnet estate, who the builders are, full planning permission etc?

Thank you

Liz and Andy, Stevenage

Yes it is a totally different development - look under Canada Verde - a completely different type of villa.  It has to have a committee to look after the development. Don't know about the permission for building etc!

THank you

I have found an agent who is selling on the Canada Verde estate.  They seem better value for money.  Have you seen both estates. If so could you give me your inpressions.

A friend has been up and he reckons Canada Verde is 'bland' and has no community feeling but Tierra de Sol looked better and was busier.

Thanks

Yes we have seen both sites, we looked at both, when we bought ours about 2 years ago.

We've got a lovely villa on La Canada Tierra del Sol and we love the friendly community, although we don't live there yet. (Hopefully moving out this year) There are quite a few plus points with the Canada Verde interiors eg. central heating but I dont know the cost etc. I would look into all that first - central tank???? Also the community commitee they have to have ,to upkeep all the central grounds.

Obviously we  are biased now, but we think with good reason, there does seem alot more community spirit on our site. We normally go for a walk round Canade Verde on each of our visits to see how everything is progressing and there never seems anyone around. The best thing to do is go and see for yourselves and speak to people, everyone is very friendly. You will know straight away which is the best site for you.

We are flying out this week, for a week and we cant wait to get there. Hope the info helps!

HI

Many thanks for you rviews.  We are planning a visit to Tierradel Sol on the 19th January. We are looking at a private sale, then have a meeting with an agent with a view to buy off plan.

ALso planning to meet the agent on Canada Verde.  They have given us a price of only 10,000 euros more than Tierra Del sol and they have 3 bedroomsand a pool already there.  The way the Euro is going at the moment every euro we can save is a bonus!!!!

We would like more of a community spirit but as they are in walking distance of each other we will have to wait and see!I

If we like what we see we are planning to move by end Jan 2009 at the latest.  Perhaps we will see you there?

Liz and Andy.

Hi

Sorry to trouble you but you have been very open and honest with your views.

Do you know if the commission the estate agent  get is the usual 10%.  we have been offered euros back - supposedly 50% of the commission but if this is the case they its less tha 5% in total!!!.

Sorry if this is an impertinent question but I don't know who else to ask. !

Thanks

Liz and Andy.
