Mortgage switch

hi all,

in a previous thread yesterday i said i emailed atlas, ididnt get a response so i phoned them, hear is what there response was.

THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHERE I AM GETTING MY INFORMATION FROM ,RE THE MEETING AND ELECTRICITY GOING ON AT THE SITE YESTERDAY. THEY CONTACTED THE BUILDER AND HAVE WRITTEN CONFIRMATION THAT NO ONE ON THE SITE HAVE ELECTRICITY. ELECTRICITY CANNOT BE PUT ON UNTIL THE PAPERWORK FROM THE  MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY? HAS BEEN SIGNED AND RETURNED. THEY DO NOT HAVE A DATE WHEN THIS WILL BE. AS SOON AS THEY KNOW ALL ATLAS CLIENTS WILL BE INFORMED.

THIS IS THE HOLD UP WITH M11. NO DATE OR EVEN MONTH HAS BEEN GIVEN WRITTEN OR VERBALLY TO WHEN M11 WILL BE READY FOR HANDOVER.

NONE OF ATLAS CLIENTS ARE ON SITE.

ATLAS HAVE ONLY COMPLETED ON 2 PROPERTIES AND THE OWNERS WERE AWARE THAT NO WATER AND ELEC ON SITE. THEY WERE GIVEN THE CHOICE WHETHER TO COMPLETE THEN OR NOT. THOSE WHO CHOSE TO COMPLETE DID SO KNOWING NO ELECTRICITY AND WATER WOULD BE ON AND THE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO THE UK.

 i then told them that i was not happy with the lack of communication, the hold up etc, and that as my email and telephone call had not got me any answers about when my property would be released and that as atlas was a registered uk company, that i would have to consider taking this down the trading standards route. (thankst o inspectahomes for that bit of info)

they said they would look into things and get back to me. when? that was not mentioned.

Hi all,

We are also with Atlas and had an email response saying that Masa are denying that electric is on site let alone meters have been fitted.  I have paid hard earned cash up front to have a meter fitted.  Something stinks probably bullsh*t, I've downloaded some of the posts and sent them onto Atlas in Torrevieja but Idoubt if it will do much good,

hi all,

had another email from atlas today, threading the trading standards route seems to have at least got me an email!

they are now saying that yes people on site are now connected.

they still do not know anything re m11.

Is this the season for miracles, Atlas actually phoned me at silly o'clock this morning informing me that yes there is electric on site.  Unfortunately it 's too close to Christmas to get over there, but it should give us enough time for another miracle to happen (the euro to weaken) I'm only wishing!!

I really hope that you get some good news soon as M11 is just across the road from us.  Hope to see you over there

thanks, yes it does seem like atlas is starting to contact many of there clients. still no date though.

Well, what a day to ask for the miracle of the  'weakening euro'. The day of the GB base rate cut!! I'm sure you've seen the result.

Trouble is, the euro is grossly over-rated at the moment, nobody knows why, but it will come down with a bang -problem is, when, I've no idea. but it will.

A miracle in January would be nice.

p.s. ATLAS? Too busy designing glossy brochures to be bothered with customers who are signed up to them - they've had their commission!!!
