THERE WAS A BIG MEETING TODAY AT SG OUTSIDE THE OFFICE (ABOUT 15 OF US) MOST OF THEM WERE THE ONES THAT LIVE OUT THERE ALREADY, AND THEY DEMANDED THAT THE ELECTRICITY WAS PUT ON STRAIGHT AWAY AND THAT WE WOULD NOT MOVE UNTIL SOMETHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT...WITHIN A HOUR THE ELECTIC  METERS WAS ON SITE AND BEING CONNECTED UP TO THE ONLY ONES THAT ARE LIVING OUT THERE AND SHOULD BE WORKING BY 6PM TONIGHT..

WE ASKED ABOUT M11 AND WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WOULD NOT BE READY UNTIL JULY/AUG IT KNOCKED US FOR SIX, SUE MY WIFE JUST BURST INTO TEARS...BUT THE OTHERS SAID DONT  LISTEN TO THE GIRL IN THE OFFICE AS SHE JUST SAID THAT OFF THE TOP OF HER HEAD...IF THIS IS TRUE THEN I WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK TO UK AS WORK IS HARD TO FIND OUT HERE AS NO ONE HAS MOVED IN.....

WE WERE TOLD THAT THE HABITATION CERT WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL THE WHOLE OF SG IS FINISHED, APPARANTLY THIS IS NORMAL, OUR FRIENDS WAITED 4 YRS FOR THEIRS.

THE ONLY GOOD NEWS IS THAT IT IS NICE AND HOT HERE TODAY...NICE?....

When you say that only the people living on Sierra Golf willl have their meters fitted, are you of the opinion that others on M15 will not have meters fitted.

What about June and Roy who live on Sierra Golf but are back in England at the moment, have they missed out.

Just to confirm what Bobby50 has said, they got to my place about 14.56 by 15.00 the meter was fitted then another sparky came along and connected  us YES WE HAVE ELECTRIC ON S/G. It´s great,  no genny thundering in the back ground and we have the TV being set up on Wednesday normal life. Now to fill the fridge/freezer.

Thanks for the update - it all sound bl***y bonkers out there.  No wonder Sue's upset.  What does your agent say - maybe they'll have a better idea of timescales for you.  Can it get more crazy......who knows.

Hi Rob and Sue, at the meeting did anyone give any explanation or apology for the lack of electricity? Are people now on their own supply or builders, as this happened before and then they turned it off.  I don't think I would stock my freezer just yet. 

I hope everything is now sorted and all above board but why the delay? Someone said it was about that electric sub station on the way out of SG, was that the case, has it been moved?  We all have so many questions and they are still not coming up with any answers.

I am not surprised Sue cried, July/Aug for M 11 are they for real?

i am maybe being relly thick, but i thought that you shouldnt sign if you dont get the hab cert?

and if you did, it was illegal to be in the property?

and the utililities cant be connected without it?

also if there was no electric for snagging, what happens if a problem is found when connected?

help me out, get this straight in my head!!

That news surely cannot be true- I can't see GM waiting that long for the money, especially as your villa, and all the others around it, were complete when we were there, back in September - more porkies perhaps? Keep your heads up! After 4 years 7 months, it can't be long now.

Absolutely made up  for you both. You won't know yourselves, tea & toast in the morning,HOT water to have a shave, baths & showers in hot water, TV etc., etc., but most important of all, a working fridge to keep the beer cool - heaven!!!!!

Thanks for the news that we've been connected. What a crazy gang, we've not even signed up yet, but will now (despite the state of the £ against the Euro) try to get sorted in the Albatros a.s.a.p.

JUST READ THE ARTICLE IN THE LEADER  (SPANISH NEWSPAPER) AND SO LETS HOPE THAT MASA DONT WONT ANY MORE BAD PUBLICITY AND GET MOVING, SPOKE TO SOLICITOR TODAY, HE HAS NOT HAD A CONCRETE ANSWER FROM MASA ABOUT M11,  WHETHER ITS JULY OR AUGUST, SO LETS HOPE THE WOMAN IN THE SITE OFFICE WAS WRONG.  HAVE A MEETING WITH SOLICITOR NEXT WEEK SO WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED AS SOON AS WE GET NEWS.
