Rental needed short and long term

hi all dont know if this will make anyone feel better but our solicitor went to murcia council offices and saw all paperwork and certifcates were in order before he allowed us to notery also our spanish bank would not issue our morgage before she had seen them so they do exist just the manyarner way everything works in spain as we all know this laid back atitude scares the hell out of us thats why we all want to live there so like our solicitor said it will happen but maybe not in our lifetime only jokeing  phil n denise

I've just had an email from our solicitors in Spain.  They have been chasing the Town Hall up for the Certificate, and do not think it will be available until at least the middle of December.

I have just had an email from Sierra Golf Services and Yanka has been told by Masa that they will not be doing any more handovers. Due to the lack of electricity, people are not completing. Yanka has been told that they like to have quite a few ready before they go to the Notary.

Please do not complete on the purchase until you have the Certificate of Habitation in your hand

The facts are that it can take months from tbe application being put in before the Certficates are issued as the Town Hall has to come out to inspect and this isn't automatically approved

If you are using the nank recomended by the builder or agent, who may be financing the builder, they will ofeten garnt a mortgage without the Certficate being granted

On another thread I read comments regarding generators and the law in Spain is that if a Certificate of Habitation has not been issued the builder is LEGALLY REQUIRED, to provide temporary supplies, known locally as builders supply, at no charge to the onwers
