URGENT ADVICE NEEDED

Is anyone else having problems with broken catches on patio doors as we have another one that has just gone.

Our catches have broken and so we replaced with much more substantial shoot bolts and proper patio door bolts, this stops them from being lifted and also from being seperated,

As we are hoping to take ownership of our place soon could you let us know  where the best place to get the new bolts is and also as I'm absolutely useless with any DIY what the hell is a shoot bolt ?
