Hasanyone actually used the self service check in machines at Stansted yet?

I did see these last year but then they had not yet been put into operation.

If you could either tap in your booking reference number or passport number and the machine then issued you with a boarding card, then hopefully it would not be too bad.

I have no printer connected to my computer so would not be able to print out the boarding card even if I did check in online.  I actually have a printer but it is not compatible with my machine.

Steve hi,

Found your post interesting. 

A friend of mine yesterday received a phone call saying that the 2 tickets he supposedly was after for this concert were ready and asking for his credit card number.  He had the common sense not to give out any details.

However it must have been "cold calling" as he had never expressed any interest in this concert to anybody.  The young woman on the phone then said he could go along to the Torrejoven Hotel today and pay there.  She said she would phone back but did not.

He then phoned the Hotel who confirmed there was a concert not at the Torrejoven Hotel but somewhere in Murcia.

Anyone else been phoned like this?  Are they looking to sell more seats?

Have been reading this thread about the Liffey Bar with interest.

Have not been there but it occurs to me that if some people are not going because this woman is possibly putting them off (which of course they are perfectly entitled to do), would it not be better if someone in the family or close to her discretely had a quiet word with her about what is being said behind her back (well I assume she does not know) as perhaps she does not realise how she comes across sometimes. 

I don't know how I come across to others but I would hope that either of my grown up children would in a nice way speak to me, or at least try to get their point across, if I were in a similar situation and running a business and it started losing customers particularly at present.

My old gran used to say "politeness costs nothing".

PS By the way where is "The Liffey" as wouldn't mind going there myself?
