Is there something new on the Lidlls Roundabout? And you are calling it the Alameda roundabout?

Hi Fibby, I think Scrufty means that new building in front of the first white/blue block of apartments just right of the roundabout, I am sitting on balcony at moment, but can't see what it is, when I drive down there later I'll take a look, heard a Mac D was being build at Punta Prima roundabout behind Patio Anadulse, but not sure its onen yet, not been down that way since we arrived.

PS  the builder has started work again on the land by the sea, fenced it all off from the road side.

I did mean the Lidl's roundabout as you mentioned and as Lesley quite correctly stated in front of the blue and white apartments "Las Terraces" (I think). I was told Burger king  or pizza place but I've not seen it.

Lesley how fenced off is La Mosca ? Can we still walk to the beach ?

You can still walk to the beach ( the long way round! ) . You turn right ( facing the fencing ) and walk to the edge of it, then on to the beach path. You can also go the opposite way which I presume is Punta Prima ( ? )

That building you mention looks like a Burger King. It is similar in shape and colour to the others in Torrevieja................I had been told it was to be 'drive in' but they have not put driveways in yet..........still you never can tell.....this IS Spain.

Apart from the fact that it is stiffelingly warm.it looks like Skegness on a bad day here today!! Dull, big breakers and miserable !!

Yes, just been down there, its a white/blue/red building with the 2 kiosks for the drive thru.  Just returned from Hondon in the country for a couple of days at sisters villa, lovely and sunny there!  hope the weather picks up tomorrow, forecasts predict better by Monday, so its shopping at Habernas tomorrow!

Thanks for clearing this up, all I can say is that it's about time there was somewhere decent to eat !

Oh by the way for those that think I am lacking in culture I have been known to eat at the golden arches as well as KFC.

same here, prefer Mac D.  Has anyone heard any new developments at La Mosca?  Over again in 2 weeks, I thought about going into the sales office and asking there.  When you over again Fibby?  just booked 1p flights for November to Murcia buts its from Luton not Gatwick.

I am hoping to try and track Trevor down the window guy, but he has a 3 month waiting list at the moment, (balcony) have asked around to see if anyone has used anyone else,  but all seem to have used Trevor.  Have you heard of any other window fitters for the balcony?

Hi Lesley, we are there till 22nd, not long enough!

Our windows were done by a Spanish guy called Roger, no, I do not jest!!!

I have sent you a PM with his phone number.

He has done most of the balcony windows in our apartments and knows the correct style and strength needed for the sea facing once, cos' of the wind, off the sea, not from the humans!!!
