Hi Dream, the sockets are probably already there - I went down to the Telefonica shop in Torrevieja and placed my order for a line - take your passport and a utilities bill - paid a connection fee and purcased one of their phones as well - note sure what I paid though - you can also order broadband but this may take a while for them to connect it ,varies on area - my line was connected (analogue) only within a week - I am in La Mirada - I pay every 2 months for line rental plus calls, but use a euro card for calls, and only use the line for internet. Norton at La Zenia also provide communications services as well, you don't need a telefonica line. I have also seen a couple of other companies advertising in the Costa Blanca News as well.
