Hi Mark / Ken

Firstly, recollections of Swinderby!  I also holidayed there for 6 weeks, from early February “72”, I was taken on the camping excursion (Non-optional) by the friendly Blue Coat double act “Corp&Sarg” to stay for 3 nights under canvas in Sherwood forest, those were the days… when-men were-men and a foreigner was someone from Yorkshire.

Re saving on electrics, I purchased the aircon auto switching sensor from ecosence after reading the recommendation on the forum. It is a clever bit of kit, however, it did not seem to work when I installed it at my apartment at Thalassa.  I contacted the supplier for advise and subsequently will be trying some trouble shooting when I am next at the apartment. It appears that some aircon / remotes use the same signal to switch both on and off and some use or 2 separate signals? 2 is good - 1 is bad!! If all fails the supplier has offered me a full refund.

Cheers
Ray

I still believe that we have snow forecast in the UK, however if you log on to the BBC world weather web & enter "Garrucha" as the target, you can obtain a 5 day forecast.  It is looking good, have a great time.

Hi All

We plumbed for the higher electricity rate to try and avoid possible outages, which now seems to have been a bit over cautious. Therefore we would certainly be interested in having the tariff changed. Has anyone been successful in the process of changing to a lower electrify tariff with Portillo.

Cheers Ray

Hi All

I have just copied the following from the general forum regarding Insurance, is this true for Thalassa? as I am just in the process of renewing my insurance and may be able to save some money.

" Hi Formenteracosta,

Your building insurance will be covered by the builder and then your community fees thereafter, as you cannot have individual building contents on a block.

You can take out contents only insurance only and there are many companies to choose from ,go online to compare quotes.

Hope this helps GEORGIA"
