Hi all,

Well, we've completed, I felt a lot of pressure to complete before the negotiations surrounding the airport were signed on the dotted line. I felt that I needed to buy quickly before the prices 'rocketed' or 'doubled' as I was led to believe!

Now, we have our apartment and we are delighted with it. We love the town and feel the urbanisation has so much potential and we feel the views from our penthouse are breathtaking. We'd love for the golf course to re-open but, we actually loved walking around it, even in its current state.

I'm a natural worrier so of course, now we've completed, I'm now considering what are the actual implications of the airport being so close? I've only ever considered the positives but what do you guys think? Will my beautiful views be spoiled? Will it be horribly noisy? How do you think the property prices will be affected?

I'd love to hear opinions, especially from those that have owned for a while, and new owners I suppose!

If we could keep responses on the forum and not via PM. I love to lurk sometimes and have noticed a lot of replies on this forum are sent via PM. (not good for us noseys)

Thanks guys

The new airport has been a long time in the waiting.... and can only be a good thing for any area.I have a Villa on Camposol that is only a 25 minutes drive from the new airport ...and I can confirm that since the news of the airport opening this year was released in and around Corvera have been selling extremely quick.

We have an apartment on Corvera and bought it in May/June 2016 and I agree with windtalker I genuinely think that the airport can only be good news for the area.

We love our Corvera apartment and the area and like you although wanting the golf course to re-open enjoy walking around the resort as it is, it's like having your own little nature reserve on your doorstep.

As I understand it the flights won't fly directly over Corvera so although I think we may experience some noise I don't think it will be too bad.
